With a great location and outdoor seating in picturesque Williamstown, Dock’s could be a hell of a lot better. We came here for lunch on a midweek afternoon and it was just underwhelming. Although the weather wasn’t great we sat outside which apparently precluded us from being served as well as if we had of sat in the bar staff’s eyeline. It’s just little things that affect this place and they could be rectified quite easily. The inside of the pub is nice with it’s wooden interior but the chairs outside and tables look cheap, are uncomfortable and wonky from the pavement outside. The food was okay, but expensive considering what you get. The risotto I had was nothing to write home about and for $ 20-odd a pop not worth the price. I may be wrong but I get the feeling that Dock’s is the sort of place that gets a lot of custom because of it’s great location when the summer crowd rolls in and has no real reason to improve because of it. Disappointing.
