Outré Gallery specialises in contemporary international pop, lowbrow, pop surrealism, tiki, modern folk, and underground art. We dig art that crosses over with design, pop and counterculture. Our approach is one that breaks out of the typical gallery mode, by showcasing a fresh and ever-​changing salon selection of original artworks, limited-​edition prints and posters, hard-​to-​get books, magazines, curios, mid-​century inspired ceramics and collectible vinyl toys.

History

Established in 2015.

Outré Gallery Brisbane is the first Queensland location of Outré Gallery, Australia’s original alternative art gallery. Founded in Melbourne over two decades ago, Outré has expanded over the years with galleries in Sydney, Perth and now Brisbane.

Manager

Originally hailing from the US of A, Erik spent five+ years as a gallerist and IT manager at Outré Gallery Melbourne, before relocating to Queensland in mid-​2015 to manage Outré’s first ever Queensland location in Brisbane’s West End.
