Kebabgy & Pidegy

Compared to many of the Mediterranean options in West End, this place is your fairly standard suburban kebab place. The weirdest thing about it is they put carrot in the tabouleh. But that’s okay. I don’t mind a bit more crunch in my kebab.
Also if New York Slice next door is closed and you want to buy your pizza by the slice, they usually have two pizza options you can get cheaply as well.
It’s not as cheap as King Ahiram up the road, but sometimes you just can’t be bothered walking up Boundary St for it. So if you don’t expect the world from your kebab joints, it’s pretty good.
Just watch out for the pigeons. Those fat little bastards are super aggressive and will probably try to steal the kebab out of your hands if you aren’t careful.

Right, I understand that it must be a bit of a bitch working in a Kebab store, especially one that at one point will serve aRight, I understand that it must be a bit of a bitch working in a Kebab store. Especially one that will, in a matter of hours, serving a multitude of drunk, disorderly and retarded individuals, spilling like diarrhea fart out of the nearby bars. I get it. It’s probably gets very stressful, annoying or repugnant even.
However, if it’s ten o’clock at night and I need a bite to eat, AND I haven’t been drinking, please Mr Kebab man, be nice to me. All I wanted is a chicken kebab with no onions. Yes that right no onions, I’m not a fan. Sorry as well, no, I don’t want any extras no matter how many times you push them.
Please stop scowling at me, just take my money and put it in the register.
Oh, now that you’ve put the roll in the toaster you’re going to walk around the counter and out to the street to see what’s happening. Nothings happening its ten o’clock.
That’s cool, take your time, I’ll just wait here until you see fit to retrieve my meal.

POP QUIZ HOTSHOT: It’s past midnight and you’ve been settled in at one (or more) of West End’s watering holes since dusk. Despite an earlier conventionally timed dinner, you’ve been struck by what might be called ‘drunken munchies’. What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO?
You go to the greasy kebab joint with the ridiculous name, not because you really WANT to but because you HAVE to. It’s quite simply the only place open after a certain hour. Join the queue full of like-​minded fools and try not to get into an altercation with the more aggressive punters who might accuse you of stealing their spot in the line.
Once you get to the front of the queue your fortunes will improve, sort of. Now to choose from the dubious bounty before you. Basically the options are a dodgy kebab or a some of their stodgy pide pizza, which has a consistency akin to an old kitchen sponge and a taste that’s only slightly better. It’s $ 3.50 for a slice but it gets cheaper when you buy in multiples, but again, that’s probably not a good thing.
Maybe I’m being too harsh. They do an interesting Hawaiian kebab with pineapple on it. Kooky!
