If it looks like the Cypriot Club, there’s good reason for that.
Same Vulture Street location, but apparently the Cypriot Club has merged with another Greek community style restaurant, and Kafenio is the result.
Sure, the menu isn’t fancy, and yeah, they serve up chips, but I’m okay with that.
The food and drinks are more than affordable, the deck is a wonderful place to sit and eat on a warm summer night, and what can I say? It just feels like a the perfect blending of Greece and Queensland.
I had the lamb and pork souvlaki, which was delicious. The meals sizes are quite generous too.
Will I be back? Yes, yes I will.
