Jackpot Noodles

I’ve been here a few times. The serving portions are rather large for the price. I like that it is licensed and BYO (corkage). The following dishes were delicious: Peking Beef, Deep Fried Chicken, Kong Pao Chicken, Roast Duck with Kailan.
The roast pork has a lot of flavour but I’ve ordered it twice and the skin isn’t very crispy. The Combination Laksa is really ordinary and bland; I won’t order it again.

Fabulous food served fast by friendly staff! And absolute bargain prices too!

This was the worst meal I have had in my soon to be 29 years of life. The man that took our order was extremely rude and not the slightest bit friendly. He took my order and then he brought me the incorrect thing knowing that I could not get what I wanted in the small portion that I ordered. All of the food was tasteless and slimy. I left feeling hungry, grossed out, and mad that I spent my money on something so unappetizing.

Tasty, Budget Friendly and Huge Range — Great for Vegetarians. Jackpot Noodles is a fantastic place to grab a quick bite (both eat in and take away) if you are on a budget. You can feed 2 hungry people for under $ 40 (pretty good these days) with generous servings and a huge selection of tasty dishes to satisfy even the fussiest foodie. The Chicken and Cashews always have a huge amount of cashews and the veges are crispy and fresh. The restaurant itself is clean, neat and tidy and always busy (a very good sign). The yum cha options are a little on the expensive side but the main dishes themselves are a bargain.

It’s the day before payday, you’ve got a measly $ 20 and you couldn’t be bothered cooking, hop on over to Jackpot for a solid feed.

This is one of my dependable staples near work. It’s worth walking the extra 500 metres beyond other local options. Jackpot Noodles West End offers affordable, freshly cooked and tasty meals. Their beverages are dirt cheap!
Love the décor, bright lighting and open plan, and the restaurant is always clean. Staff are effecient and friendly. I have never had a bad experience. If I were keeping stats on the oodles of visits I have made to this establishment I can guarantee I have ordeded the Seafood on Crispy Egg Noodle dish 90% of the time and it is AMAZEBALLS!

In terms of restaurants along boundary road in West End, it would be best value for your money. Inside it’s very clean and modern. The food is very good, and the price is unbelievable. Can’t say there is any other place in Brisbane as cheap as Jackpot Noodles. And the speed of which the food comes out is amazing. Definitely a local favourite for all the people in West End.

This is my favourite Asian cuisine in West End. I have never eaten in the restaurant, I get a takeaway order every month when I have a stall at the Vintage Markets at Rumpus Room.
Their noodles are exactly as the name describes, Jackpot! Tastey and full of goodness they never skimp on any of the ingredients while retaining a low price. Their steamed dumplings are divine and worth the wait to have them cooked fresh.
Service is fast and friendly and they are always happy to suggest something new to try. Great for lunch or dinner dates or a quick takeaway order. I will continue to be ther every month on the dot at lunch :)

Incredible value. Fresh delicious meals. Cheap beer. Super fast service. Could be a bit friendlier, but who cares when the food is inexpensive and yummy.

Gosh that sounds simple doesn’t it? Its almost as quick as it is simple… No hang on… its quicker. If you are in West-​End and don’t want to spend too much time or money on the whole restaurant shebang come here! When Jackpot was on Albert street in the city I visited far too often, I’m glad I have to venture a bit further away from where I live, or I might turn into the plate chilli chicken I order in excess.

With chef’s specials at $ 10 each (or $ 12 with rice or noodles) and six quick-​picks for $ 6.80 each, Jackpot, like its namesake, is good for one’s finances. It’s also pretty tasty for the price you pay.
One of my favourites is the ‘Beef Brisket’, which features braised beef with vegetables. Rice can be added for $ 2. I also like the ‘Soy Steamed Chicken’ ($ 6.80), with the texture reminding me of the Singaporean Hainanese Chicken Rice. I’m also partial to ‘Char Kwai Teow’ ($ 10) — stir-​fried flat noodles with prawns and XO sauce.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find that some of the ‘spicy’ options like ‘Chilli Chicken’ and ‘Kong Pao Chicken’ are actually that — spicy!
Bottled beer sits chilling in the fridge alongside the soft drinks, including the Chinese beer Tsingtao. They have beer specials and sometimes you can get a beer like a Corona for a great price.

This is one of my favourite places to go for Chinese food. Not only are Jackpot dishes tasty and fresh, they are also very well priced, with lunch specials for only $ 6.80 and main meals for $ 10.
I have been here many times, chosen something different on each visit, and always been very impressed. In fact, just last week I lived off Jackpot for three days and if there was one closer to my house I am sure that would be a common occurrence. My favourite noodle dish is probably the shredded duck with egg noodles. If noodles aren’t your thing you must try the salt and pepper squid. I still have many more dishes to try though, so I promise to keep you posted if I unearth something even better.
