One of the biggest bulk grog shops in SA, there’s no chance they don’t have it. If alcohol could be used to fuel a car, in that case there’s enough to keep a few hundred running until the end of the year. Yes it’s all in the potatoes, the Russians are onto something with their tractors. I can always find something to buy and quite enjoy having a look around to see what’s on special. Big bulk stores like this usually stock cheaper wine than it can be purchased from the cellar door, but it’s still good to go for a drive and do some sampling. Their online website is easy to navigate and is up to date with what’s available, you can order online and also get ideas with their recipes for dangerously addictive cocktails.

There aren’t too many bottle shops around this area, but this one does the trick every time. It’s huge and easy to access, with a carpark facing Port Road. You can always get a park nearby and be in and out fast. You will have to contend with whichever fundraiser is at the door, but mostly they don’t hassle you. I’ve never been here without someone raising funds for blindness or breast cancer. I think they do well out of people’s loose change as we’re going back to our cars — I know I’m guilted into it. So apart from a little extra door charge, you’ll get good deals here. Their range of boxed ciders here is fantastic, as are their sweet reds and whites for the sweet-toothed of us who dislike dry wines. But there are plenty of those as well. On Saturdays they have tastings of random bottles, so it’s always fun to see what’s on offer. Never fail, I can find something here that I’m looking for.
