I have been coming here for a looooooong time and my fiancé even longer. I have watched the place recently take on more of a «classy» tone, eradicating the standard tattoo example sheets you would normally find in any other shop, replacing them with the artists own prints(which are available for purchase). The shop is spotless and comfortable, you will be accommodated with comfy tables/chairs and cushions. Tools and equipment are completely sterile and everything is crispy clean. There is a water cooler available and a coke brand vending machine. They play an array of music types — my last session for example, we were grooving to James Brown, nice! I have personally witnessed amazing work from all of the artists in house. They don’t simply have one style each and can do a cover-up like no one else. Jonny is our artist and is a wizard with a tattoo machine. He is personable, funny and gentle. My partner and I allow him total control of what we have inked. We more often than not arrive at sessions with no ideas and he has created some incredible work with barely any planning time. He sketched up my next session’s design while I watched, it was huge and it only took him 20 mins and I was in awe, it’s beautiful. With all this being said, he is heavily booked so you may have a wait to see him but it’ll be worth it, but as previously stated, all the artists in house are really great. Cash only, the closest ATM is a petrol station down the road. Pricing is relevant to the size of your request and how long it would take to complete and is standard for Perth pricing. You can email or call them for enquiries but to make a booking you will need to leave a deposit. 5 stars and two thumbs up from me!

I have a sick obsession with tattoos and piercings. Well not a sick obsession, I have seven tattoos and a few piercings. Five of my seven tattoos where done at Abandoned Art, all but one where done by Johnny, the other by Zoe. I highly recommend them both, although I am sure the other artist would also be very talented. It is a bit of an odd location just off Wanneroo Road, it looks really scummy from the outside, and even the inside isn’t anything too flash. They have a load of pictures of peoples tattoos on the wall and books full of tattoo ideas. The staff are friendly and helpful, for most people getting a tattoo is kind of a big deal, inking your skin permanently, and the staff make you feel comfortable and make sure that the final design is exactly what you want. Even if you only have an idea or a poor quality picture, they draw up the tattoos up for you and you have the ability to change them over, and it doesn’t cost anything. The tattoo costs aren’t too expensive either the minimum payment is $ 165 which I personally don’t think is too bad, after that it doesn’t get that much higher. I have had a couple of big tattoos and they where pretty reasonable compared to the other places I got quotes for. I thought maybe because it looked dingy and the prices where cheaper the tattoos wouldn’t be as good, but well they are just awesome! Im going back for a big piece on my thigh, and will be getting that done with John, and i am sure it will look just as good as the others!
