Quarry Street Cafe

It might look like a plain old sandwich shop, but Tom and Lily make seriously good coffee, and they have fresh, quality food too. And they have Sonoma bread. They’re a little off the beaten track, and a favourite for Ultimo residents. Incidentally, their coffee is from Mecca Espresso’s roastery. Roastery probably isn’t a word. Tom and Lily’s new outdoor seating is excellent too (no more stripey bum problems, those crappy old metal chairs are gone). The downside? They only ever have the Australian and the Telegraph. Surely these newspapers don’t represent the politics of the café owners, though we don’t know that for a fact. It probably has something to do with a certain un-​named eccentric newspaper distributor up the road on Macarthur Street. Open on Saturdays until about 1ish.
