Exceptional wines that are not offered by the glass in any other Australian bars or restaurants. It could be an old Barolo or an old kept secret.
Our dining experience is all about being social. Sharing is caring. the plates are designed to be larger than Tapas but in between entrée and main sizes. But if sharing is not your style, the dishes are designed to be versatile so you can have it on your own too.
Most of all our warm welcome is what all our regulars come for. Come meet owners Chewie and Lili for a great chat and be surround by like minds — people who love a great company, great wine and great food.
History
Established in 2011.
Claret House is owned by a long time hospitality work horse Chewie Choo and his partner in life Lili Dyer.
The couple met in late 2010 and decided after 3 months into their relationship that it was a great idea to buy a business together.
Along came an already established cozy wine bar in Teneriffe and the coupe jumped at the opportunity.
2.5 years down the track, the bar is filled with family and friends who we have met and who we call family too.
They then took onboard a young excited Sommelier — Tom Lane Porter who is like is old furniture at Claret House. Tom has been with Claret House since its first establishment and has built many relationships with the locals of Teneriffe. But whats more importantly, Tom is a bit of an encyclopaedia for all wines.
Life is about enjoying a great time with lots of family and friends and DEFINITELY great wine. And this is exactly what Claret House has turned into.
