After a little shopping and some coffee, it was home time. I really didn’t want to have to walk the short trip back to Blacktown train station then up and over Penrith and a bus home. Movement disorders can make one a lazy duck at times. I was rescued. Westpoint shopping centre has a bus stop built underneath the shopping centre. Down by escalator or the lift and you find yourself at an enclose bus stop with airconditioning, clearly numbers bus stops and bus route maps and timetables. The buses stop at the sliding door of their relevant bus stop and you hop on. It was clean, felt clean and plenty of seats to park your butt. Not overly loud at all and the pollution of the buses kept in the tunnel, not the waiting area. Did I mention it’s air conditioned? So nice. Buses going to Mount Druitt, Fairfield, Macquarie Park and more. In comes the bus I need to Mount Druitt station/shopping centre and I have a tiny walk to my second bus that stops near my home. I love this way of providing a bus stop at shopping centres. Never leave the airconditioning from the shopping centre, to the bus stop to air conditioned bus. As long as the bus you need stops there. Beautiful. Just what I needed.
