Utopia Coffee

Nutella balls.
I could probably just leave it at that and you’d have everything you needed to know, but you should also try the other flavours of Tella Balls available with cinnamon or salted caramel because they’re equally as good. Fiiiiine salted caramel is clearly the best but whatever, who’s counting, they’re still round donuts injected with deliciousness so everyone wins.
Here’s another hot tip: get your balls and a coffee and take them over to the step in the courtyard area and take your shoes off and close your eyes and enjoy the warm sunshine and the stares of the business people who want to be you but they can’t because they’re business people and have to be serious and boring. Silly business people.

Honestly I don’t see what the fuss is all about– if you want to have a coffee here you’ve got to be prepared to wait in an enormous line and then wait quite a bit to get it.
The coffee is decent, but not amazing enough to wait in line for that long. If you have a job where you have time to kill then I guess this would be suitable but for all those who want to get a coffee pre-​work and not have to get up an extra 30 minutes earlier to do so then you’re better off going to any number of good places around these guys.

This place has been a great coffee spot for years — just check the line up out the door around 8:30am on a weekday for proof. Even when they have a big lineup the coffee is served quickly and consistently good.
The have a small selection of pastries, sandwiches and muffins, but the coffee is the real reason to come here.

This is now my go to for that pre-​work morning java infusion in the city. There are coffee shops everywhere, and I’ve tried a few now, but something about Utopia keeps me coming back for more…
What is that something? It’s the perfect blend of friendly service, great coffee and a nice price. I don’t give out 5-​stars like candy, I had to really think about this one, but there isn’t really anything to pull them up on. People might walk past because they see it is busy, but they’ve just gone and made a huge mistake because Utopia are a well-​oiled machine in terms of ordering and processing each coffee. Because of that system, although it is busy, you never have to wait long.
The lovely lady that serves me in the morning (I’m sorry I don’t know your name yet) already knows my order, and greets me with a smile and also lets me know when my coffee is ready. That she is able to do that for everyone in such a busy morning rush amazes me.
The 2 boys on the machine are also friendly and reliable. No bad coffees. No burnt coffees. And if you watch them they are passionate about their product.
Utopia I now dub you U-​beaut-​opia!
