While searching for some late night food after a movie, this restaurant poped up! In Regent Place, a small arcade of different Asian street food style restaurants. This place has a pretty descent Thai selection and will be more than enough to satisfy most diners. The beef noodle soup is great. Usually beef noodle soups lack any sort of flavour, not at this place! Plenty of tasty broth and meat. The drinks selection includes plenty of teas, juices and some alcohol.

This was the only Thai restaurant I went to while in Sydney so I can’t compare it to other Sydney Thai restaurants, but it didn’t disappoint. Can’t go wrong with the pad Tom yum sauce noodles! The dessert of the Thai custard with sticky rice was also amazing! I’m usually not a big sweets person, but the dessert was just that good.

Best Thai! I travel to Sydney often for work and had been introduced to this little gem by a friend, it has to rate as my favourite Thai eatery of all time. The service is not great at all but the food is sensational. Can recommend the spicy beef salad, pork belly, red curry duck, BBQ beef. Remember to take cash as they have no card payment facilities but there is an ATM within 20m.

The first thing that catches your attention will be the interior. The whole place looks like it straight from a movie set trying to act like a Thai place. I’m sure they want you too feel like you’re in Thailand but it looks a bit too«authentic». We ordered the satay chicken as entrees, satay is one of my favourite dishes when it comes to Asian cuisine. Being brought up with Indonesian food(not because I’m Indo, but because in Amsterdam that’s the only decent Asain food you can get), satay it’s a great snack or as an entrée. The satay and peanut sauce was delicious and perfectly cooked. As mains we got the BBQ Chicken and the Crispy Pork Belly. The pork belly was super crunchy and the BBQ chicken came with an amazing chilli sauce. Again these where both delicious and nothing to complain about. It was also worth noting that you get quite a lot. Which is not always the case when going to a Thai place. Though the food we already had was more the enough we saw they had roti with ice cream on the menu. The sugar sweet roti was incredible.

A great place for lunch in the city. Great food, well priced, meaty portions, not pretentious. Service is very basic, but that’s fine. Ambiance was great too. Recommended for a work group lunch for 2 – 6 people. No more as it’s a narrow venue. Will def come here again!

We had dinner here yesterday. We have ordered the golden tofu as our starter and as for main, we had tom yum soup and crispy fried fish with peanut sauce like. The soup was too salty and fish was just so so. A lot of batter though… maybe next time will only try the pad see ew which looks good. Small place with fancy deco and service is good too.

Great little spot and would definitely recommend it. The green curry and soft shell crab salad were awesome

Most impressive décor(both interior and exterior) I have ever seen in a Thai restaurant and possibly in any restaurant full stop. Really made me feel like I was sitting in a quaint little eating house in South East Asia in the 1960s(or at least what I imagine what such a place would be like). The food was delicious although a tad too expensive for Thai food. I know the rent in this building is really high but this restaurant is going to risk alienating its customers unless it lowers its prices a little — $ 2 across the board should do it. Otherwise, people will just go over to Home Thai on Sussex St, where the food is just as good(if not better) and the prices significantly lower. We ordered the tom yum prawn soup($ 16); the larb gai salad(minced chicken with lemongrass, coriander, roasted rice, cabbage/lettuce etc)($ 16); and the grilled chicken with lemongrass($ 18) and steamed rice($ 3). Loved the first two dishes but the third was dry and overcooked. The larb gai salad was so spicy I had tears running down my face by the end of the meal. Our waitress actually asked us when we placed our order whether we wanted the salad ‘spicy or non-spicy’. We asked for ‘medium’, so I can’t imagine what the ‘spicy’ version would be like. Would probably burn a hole in my stomach like what happened to this dude: Service was very good. The waitresses were clearly mindful of how killer-hot the food was because they were constantly hovering around our table, ready to refill our cups of water whenever they became even the slightest bit less than full.

We went here because Home Thai was closed for renovations. It has been open for three weeks. It looked good from the outside so we gave it a shot. The entrée we ordered to share was the prawn pancake. The waiter encouraged us with the selection. In reality it was four prawns in wonton wrappers deep fried, not a fresh egg in sight. The mains ordered we’re the Larb Chicken(asked for mild) and Pad Sei Yu. The Larb was ok but not mild. Too spicy for my wife to eat. The noodles were also adequate. Both meals were served on what I remember to be metal camping plates like I used on scout camps 30 years ago. Service was friendly though we had our first main served before our entrée. Would we go back? I don’t think so.

A pretty authentic place in terms of décor. I tried the pad thai with chicken and Chiang Mai curried noodles(had 4 chicken drummettes). No complaints about the food in terms of authentic taste. Menu selection is not as varied as e.g. Home Thai or Chat Thai. Pricing is slightly more here. As a previous reviewer indicated, this place not accept credit cards. I would only recommend this place for a different dining vibe.

Another notable and new Thai restaurant in the neighborhood which has been given the nod of approval by some of my thai friends so I decided to check it out. Decided to «test the waters» and ordered the Som Tum(Papaya Salad) dish and asked for the spicy version and it passed the spicy test — its real thai spicy so you’d better be careful, trust me on this its not for«greenhorns». I’d definitely come back again, although might not go as often as I’d like as it is a little pricey(and cash only too! So make sure you visit an ATM *before* coming here).
