When you walk through QVB and town hall, you are left with many choices of where to get your coffee. Literally. There are cafes everywhere! But being a uni student, nothing stops me in my tracks then seeing a little café dominated by a large shiny espresso machine, which sells coffees starting from $ 3. Hey, saving 50c is a big deal for us uni students! I could smell that coffee aroma drifting towards me by just standing in front of the counter. They grind the beans to order and my flat white was velvety smooth at the top with a good balance of milk to coffee. Yum. If I’m walking underground again, this might just be the place I’ll put my trust in for a good cuppa joe.

This place is a hidden gem. A friend of mine recommended this place because it serves Papa’s cakes. So I decided to stop by for some coffee. Hands down the best coffee I’ve tried in the QVB. They use Danesi caffe beans. It is smooth and has an easy finish. Personally, I prefer my coffee with a bit more bite, but saying that, it was still a really good cup of coffee. The only problem with this place is the temptation to buy cheesecake and pastries. If you haven’t been to Papas then you haven’t lived. So this is a very dangerous thing have a Papas seller right near my work. But hey, first world problems.

Tucked right near the busyness of it all, between Town Hall train station and Sydney Central Plaza/Westfield Sydney. A tiny spot, and occasionally there are some treats to sample, and their coffees are fairly cheap. Love the post 5pm clearances on ever week night except for Thursday night. Love those swirly custard donut things for only $ 2.50 a pop. Service can be a bit hit and miss here sometimes, yet don’t let that deter you from satisfying your afternoon slumps.
