I was told this place was the best place to get a kebab… they must have thought I was super drunk to pull the ol’ switcheroo on me because I asked for a chicken kebab and they gave me a lamb kebab. I also asked for no onions and they gave me extra onions. If they were doing it to mess with me, well done… but based on the English signs they carry maybe they just have really poor English. Either way, definitely not the best kebab unless you’re right outside Scruffy Murphy’s or really NEED a kebab… but the one around the corner is better.

This kebab shop has saved my drunk ass on an occasion or two. Positioned so conveniently next to the 24-hour backpacker pub Scruffy Murphys, it serves the best schooner-soak up grub around. Queue up, slurrrrrrrr your order, watch the lightening quick hands in amazement, manage to catch the roll they chuck at you, somehow make correct change, stagger to the left(or shuffle to the right), peal paper back with delighted carelessness, sink teeth into delicious kebab. BAM, you’re sorted. Whether it’s your first night’s feed, or the unnecessary second dinner, I suspect you’ll be happy to be feasting. And because no good street food experience is complete without a trashy little curb sit, pull up some asphalt and make yourself comfy. Your body will thank you for the refuel. That is, if it isn’t too busy cursing you.
