The simple fact that they serve all-day breakfast is a big plus for someone like me. And forget calling it Pancakes on the Rocks — I’m all about Crepes on the Rocks! Terrific selection to choose from. And they know the«right» way to cook bacon. Busy place, so don’t be surprised if there is a wait and a line out the door. But very friendly staff and good food. This is definitely NOT a one-n-done kinda place.

2.5. Also good for a quick breakfast. Had basic pancakes w/scrambled eggs and they were OK. A lot of dishes with lots of stuff. They have pizza but am not sure they’ve one with less than 3 toppings. Heavy creams, syrups, sauces and fried things in their menu. They are open 24 hours, which is hard to find. If you need a meal late at night or are an American craving IHOP or Denny’s this will be a nice place to go. Great for groups, lots of big tables. It is a hit with the tourists.

Went here for breakfast twice while on vacation in Sydney. Very large pancakes. I can pack it away, and two of with some side sausage was my limit. Decent value, especially at recent(June) exchange rates at approx $AUD30 for two of us.(I judge the value based on Metropolitan city rates. Your mileage may vary, in NYC, this would be a cheap price).

I went to this restaurant with my cousin the night before and had a very nice cocktail and a beer. The very next day I ordered food and it was terrible. I was extremely hungover and that’s usually when food tastes better. I didn’t finish my food and I went up the stairs and are Subway instead.

When we came, there was already a line at the door. Staff were good at vacating tables though and were quick to bring us in, got inside within 15 minutes. Ordered the italian salami pizza, tandoori chicken pizza, fisherman’s catch, various drinks and a cappucino. Cappucino came and it was COLD. Italian salami pizza was very mediocre in taste, same for the tandoori pizza. Not to sound overly critical but the quality of the pizza was worse than pizza hut or dominos. Crust was soggy, toppings were soft and it just was not satisfying to eat. Fisherman’s catch wasn’t bad(fish part), however chips were not seasoned at all, very bland and the chips had no salt on them. All of that at $ 87. Honestly I felt as though I would have been more satisfied eating mcdonalds. Perhaps I need to try the pancakes which is what the place is well known for. Service and location were good. The above food was really lacking. Will revisit once more just to try the pancakes.

The creeps were fine! I ordered Tabriz crepes and shared the pork ribs with a friend. They were both pretty good! From the menu it seems that they are pretty pricy but there are a lot of amount for that price!

Pancakes on the rocks is a good restaurant to go to that’s kid friendly and has booth seats, as for variety on the menu there really isn’t that much, you have ribs pizzas and pancakes that’s about it. But the have really good value for money with the soft drinks and ice tea. $ 2.95 can’t beat that…

This place was fun. Decadent pancakes with ice cream on top. Good coffee. Enjoyed it a lot.

Apparently, this diner is uniquely Australian. My friend and I shared the chicken and mushroom crêpe and it was delicious. I love the cream and the tomato sauce which brings out the flavor of the crêpe. So delicious. The salad was a little bland and probably could have done better with slightly more dressing. Overall, pretty good!

Compared to the one at The Rocks, this location just doesn’t make the cut. The food is just okay, nothing great or earth-shattering. I would stick to the pancakes, though. Don’t stray from the standards on the menu into the savory crepes or other items. Just not worth it. Just a very average experience all around.

Now, when I go to a chain restaurant, I more or less expect that I get the same quality food. For example, I LOVE the pork ribs at Pancake on the Rocks; but now I can clarify — I love the pork ribs at Pancake on the Rocks — at the original Rocks location only. Sigh. The ribs here were below average. Not juicy at all and barely covered in BBQ sauce. Had the pizza though — which was good. And my friends who ordered other stuff(pancakes, nachos) seemed to be happy with their food. But the ribs… *sob*

The strawberry and chocolate is really good, delicious but not too sweet, original. And the pancakes is really large, one enough for 2 girls. Almost $ 25 ppl.

If someone dies and goes to pancakes heaven, this would be it ! On weekends be ready to wait in a queue to dig into these little buttermilk delights. I have tried the crepes, savoury, and sweet pancakes and they all are delicious. 6 of us ordered pancakes and potato wedges in case it got too sweet for us. The entire order costed us around 100AUD. If you are on Darling Harbor and in the mood to hog, don’t miss out on these little sinful treats !

The food is great and it has the same kind of looks just like the original Pancakes on the Rocks in the Rocks. It’s located in Darling Harbour so it’s quite easy to get to if you don’t want to venture down to the Rocks. The range of pancakes here are quite good, same like the original shop and I think I have tried nearly all of them. The pizzas are also good as I sometimes order them before eating pancakes. I have been here a few times with friends if we wanted to eat some pancakes or other food and we don’t want to eat at the food court in Harbourside Shopping Centre. Also sometimes if we happen to be around Darling Harbour, I would take my friends here who are not from around Sydney as they want to try the famous pancakes. BUT, there are two things that are not the same as compared with the original shop. First: it’s not open 24 hours. Sometimes I wish it will open more longer as it’s closer to the south side of the city. Second: It’s not a good place at night to study or read some books or work on some complex problems, which comes back to it not being open 24 hours. Other than that, it’s a great place to eat and drink and its located in Darling Harbour.
