Le Trader is a French café with an emphasis on organic healthy food, which is something of a contradiction in terms given the well known French love of all things creamy and rich. The menu marries these two influences quite cleverly, with lots of fresh juices, organic good quality ingredients, and plenty of green stuff. I tried an immunity juice and black truffle scrambled eggs, the former providing the virtue and the latter the enjoyment. The scrambled eggs were delicious but very rich — I couldn’t actually finish mine. The service is lovely and friendly but can be a little slow at times, particularly when they’re busy. This is a small but perfectly formed café, and a good place to take people that want to try something a little different. It also transforms into a rather good little restaurant at night, with plenty of French classics to be had.

Only tried a coffee so far and it was great. Nice strong fresh iced long black. Friendly staff and they accept Amex

The food was delicious and I had a man crush on the waiter! His French accent was almost as smooth as the duck confit, which melted off the bone and in my mouth! My girlfriend ordered the tuna steak and enjoyed its delicate crust almost as much as I enjoyed the service. Wonderful evening

Was looking for a great breakfast place and found it! Good coffee and delicious food. If you’re a carnivore, make sure you try the chilli maple bacon, it is so delicious. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Cozy feel with friendly welcoming staff. Food excellent after returning from a Paris holiday a few weeks ago and needing a French«fix». Great duck confit. Small but passable choice of wines by the glass. We’ll be back.

A new place, this time a French café/restaurant. Off to an excellent start, friendly, welcoming staff. My coffee came as ordered, hot, great tasting coffee. We both had seconds on the coffee, something I don’t usually do, but it was so enjoyable I had to have another one. We decided on crepes, after perusing a fabulous menu with lots of mouth watering items. I had the La Savoyarde Crêpe. Buckwheat flour crêpe filled with boiled potato, garlic, onion, bacon, cream, cheddar snd camembert cheese. Partner had the La Portuguese Crêpe. Buckwheat flour crêpe filled with chorizo, tomato, cheddar cheese and fried egg. Meals served with a garden salad and a very tasty salad dressing. Both meals were excellent. Very tasty, lots of the ingredients in each one. A satisfying and very enjoyable meal for both of us. Would give 6 stars, but only 5 allowed. Highly recommend this venue. Eager to home back to try lots of things from their brekky/lunch/dinner menus. Can see this becoming one of our favourite eateries.

From the minute we barged in(5 of us with three kids) the waiter treated us with friendliness and bent over backwards to make us comfortable. I ordered the scrambled with chorizo and seriously, the eggs were so light and fluffy I kept thrusting forkfuls towards everybody saying, ‘try it! They are soooo fluffy!’ Amazing! The muesli ordered by hubby was delicious too, a great mix that even the kids liked. All the bread was fabulous from the French baguette to the sourdough.(Did I mention the fluffy eggs!!!) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The only slightly below par thing was the coffee, which was only OK. However on the huge plus side the barista gave the kids a free round of baby cinos as a surprise! Who does that?! And did I mention the eggs…
