Perfectly thin with lots of droolworthy stuff on top is how I would describe the pizza at Modena. Modena has been around at the QVB for a while and has really built their reputation on their mouth watering, crispy based, topping stuffed pizzas. Their pizzas are really worth trying and they all have a gourmet topping to suit everyone. I’m especially fond of the chicken pizza, mushroom, potato & rosemary, surf & turf, sweet potato and four cheeses. Although a little bit more expensive with a slice of pizza setting one back approximately $ 8, it is well worth it when you think of how much value you are getting in the fancy toppings and the satisfaction from the taste of the pizza. I believe they have a lunch special where you can have a pizza and salad for approximately $ 10 – 12? Not a bad lunch. One pizza will fill a normal hungry girl very well. If you are a hungry, hungry person like the very hungry catepillar or wishing to save money, I recommend trying Modena on a Thursday night between 5−9pm. During this time they offer all you can eat pizza and maybe salad for around $ 20. YES, ALLYOUCANEATPIZZA!!! you will only need to eat 2.5 slices to break even so very good value. Even though its all you can eat, the staff are very friendly and non judgemental if you keep eating and eating, meaning you dont need to feel ashamed and hide your gluttony!
