Amazing coffee, baked goodies & fresh food!!! This place is awesome for breakfast with great combo deals which allow you to get one of their pastries or toast with a coffee. Not my kinda thing but the b&e rolls seem to be a real draw card

It’s taken me almost 2 years to write this review — mostly because it’s hard to capture exactly how I feel about this place in a Unilocal review. In short, I love it. I love the food, and I love the people here. — Best bacon and egg in Sydney — Great coffee — Amazing Service In long… Since I moved to Australia 2 years ago I’ve been going here a couple times a week for breakfast, usually at around 5:30am, to grab a bacon and egg and a coffee before work. Sometimes I arrive so early that they haven’t even turned the grill on. Most places would turn folks away — but instead each of the staff takes the opportunity to get to know you, ask what you like/don’t like, and talk about coffee and life. I could ramble on and on about the staff here, but I’ll just say that talking to them is a truly wonderful way to start my day. go for the food, stay for the friendship!

One of my favourite places to eat and drink in the city. Fresh quality food and great value for money. They let you mix salads and hot food or make your own sambos on a variety of gourmet breads

So I’m back for another review! How can I come to this place 3 – 4 times a week and not give it 5 stars. The staff are always so friendly — you’re almost part of the family. Tried a chicken wrap for the first time last week and that went down a treat too. Can’t speak on behalf of the entire CBD but if you work close to Market and York, this HAS to be your local!

Wow, this place has really left its mark!!! In short, a delectable selection of wholesome lunchtime meals, coupled with an amazing service. As for the coffee? well hands down the most consistent and freshly roasted coffee in the CBD.

Decided to make my own wrap at Lime which I thought was pretty straightforward: half turkey/half roast beef with lettuce, tomato etc. After completion of making my wrap I was informed that I owed Lime $ 14. I was taken aback that such wrap would really cost $ 14 and said that I would never pay more than $ 10 for such a thing. I was told I would be given an exception this time but next time I would need to take notice if how much each item costs. I added up the items and they still did not add up to $ 14… I was then given $ 8 change after handing over a $ 20 and told I would not be given anything more. We had agreed on $ 10 but I guess she had a change of heart. And she wouldn’t budge on the $ 2 she owed me! Horrible service — will never return.

One Liner: generous fillings, tasty pesto, double cheese(what the ?), all hammed up! I ordered my sambo from the nice old lady(p.s. they are all nice old ladies) and waited in anticipation to enjoy the construction of my soon-to-be-consumed lunch. At first my sandwich artist looked a little confused, as she reached for battered chicken, when I had clearly ordered a #1 whose hero is ham. She correctly avoided the foul then promptly banged on a slice of cheese — interesting, my quizzical side pondered, let’s see where this goes — then I saw her grab a miserable looking slice of ham and a cynical part of me lamented that lunch was ruined and it then proceeded to have an epic meltdown inside sook session… suddenly, as if sensing my sadness, she went and grabbed 3 more hearty slices and my optimistic side thought, hold the phone(and my Dumb and Dumber side knew that she’d «totally redeemed herself!»). Pesto went on next, followed by rocket, salt & pepper(she asked) then a second slice of cheese — at which point my adventurous side began doing jumping jacks — wait… what the? double cheese… oh YEAH baby! Tops ‘n’ tails! 64 slices of american cheese, 63… that’s right folks she pimped my already medium pimpin’ sambo. When I sauntered back into work with my big pimpin’ sambo, congregations of peeps parted like I was Moses rockin’ through with the tenner tablets. Sitting at my desk now I am satiated(read: fat & happy). In closing, get to Lime, but get in the right line!(1st counter sambos, 2nd counter salads — don’t make the rookie mistake, there’s nothing worse than being green in a sandwich bar… nothing)

I went to Lime recently and their coffee has come on in leaps and bounds! As someone who will go out of their way for a good coffee I will be adding Lime to my regulars list. While you are there grab one of their salads. I had the ceaser salad but they all looked fantastic.

For me personally, wherever my meetings are in the city i make sure i leave enough time to walk to this place and get my most delicious coffee. Whether it’s the coffee bean they use, or the friendly staff that makes you feel like your a part of this little family, or their food that really does taste like your mother’s cooking — in simple terms i’m hooked. What ever time of the day it is, their turn around for the crowds this place pulls in is superb, you order and bam coffee is ready whilst another has just finished putting your food in a bag. There is an atmosphere in this place that again i can’t help but refer to like being a family. Their wide variety of food is astounding, as most places in the city have your typical sandwiches, and most often than not the same hot food day in day out. I’m not going to lie, i’m a huge fan of Lime Espresso Sandwich bar and will continue to visit every time i’m in the area!

You get what you see! Awesome delicious and healthy Salats, Sandwiches and Coffee spezialities. I’ve been walking around through Sydney while Sightseeing and stopped at Lime’s forlunch. First i was pretty impressed how friendly the staff was. The Salad bar is pretty awesome it not only looked really good it also tasted good. Chicken Salads, Beetroot Salat with Chickpeas, Greek Salat and much more different kinds of salats and pasta as well i think. I took a big box mixed with the three i mentioned and it was delicious. I can’t tell anything about the quality of the Coffee cause i dont drink Coffee but due to the long line at the coffee machine i think they are serving a pretty good one. Worth a visit if you’re hungry and in the Darling Harbour Area!

Lime is pretty much my go to place when i’m limited on time for lunch. located right on Market between Clarence and Kent, Lime has some great sandwiches and they have even better pastas. service is super fast, but during lunch it can get super crowded. chicken tortellini is awesome along with the chicken mushroom risotto. fairly priced for the amount of food you get as well. portions are plenty and you can get a massive meal for $ 10. check out the chicken schnitzel sandwich if you’re looking for something with bread. they also have a huge selection of salads. you can mix and match to get your favorite combination as well.

Reasonable sandwich and salad joint for Monday to Friday workers to go to for sustenance. Food is ok, I normally go for the pesto chicken salad, and while it isn’t anything to write home about, the servings are always stuffed into overflowing takeaway containers. Recommended for hungry types who aren’t too particular.

This place is good. Really good. Think Italian mummas making you delicious sandwiches with any filling you could want with a great range of different breads. You have got to try the roast chicken! They are very generous with their fillings and everything is really fresh. Prices are great too when compared to some other sandwich options in the CBD. They lose a star because of the pace of service. Although quite busy you seem to wait a long time to be served and then get your sandwich. So if you have a little extra time to wait go and check Lime out!

I don’t really think this review will do this place justice as obviously I am missing out on something. I have seen the lunch time rush this place gets so obviously it is doing something right, but I decided to review the«espresso» side of the business(as coffee is kinda my thing…). First off, the service I got here was great. Everyone looked friendly and seemed pretty stress free. Probably worth noting that I went here during the morning prep time, so it was pretty empty.(The service is the main reason I gave this review a 3 and not a 2…) The coffee however was nothing special. It certainly is miles away from the worst coffee I have had in Sydney, but neither was it outstanding. The coffee crema was good, and it was not over espressed or burnt, so it must have been the beans that let it down. In any case, with all the awesome coffee available in this area, I would not come back here for the coffee.
