The good: Toby’s Estate coffee, brewed a bit stronger than elsewhere in the neighbourhood + consistently high-quality milk result in what I personally think is the best coffee in Sydney! It’s a bit more expensive than average($ 4.5 for a regular, which is about the size of a large at most places), but well worth it. The bad: it’s in the basement of the World Square, around the corner from Coles. That comes with a particular aesthetic that may not exactly conform to everyone’s definition of a great coffee shop. Also, the sizes are inconsistent with the Sydney standard– a large is enormous, a regular is large, and they have a small, which is a typical regular. The bottom line: I pass a lot of decent coffee shops on my way to this place, but the quality difference is substantial!
