Abode sort of became our go to place for work drinks. There are three reasons for this — 1) it’s about 30 seconds walk door to door. 2) it’s much less crowded than the bars actually down on Darling Harbour. 3) it has happy hour with $ 5 drinks. Other than that, there’s really not much to recommend it. The beer selection is pretty basic — perroni and one other halfway decent beer on tap. Some more in bottles. Decent wine list. You can get a cocktail but they aren’t serious about them. The food is apparently good. All I’ve ever tried are the chip type snacks. They are OK but nothing to get excited over. There are about 200 better bars within spitting distance but for a few quick drinks after work without having to fight through crowds, this place is OK.

Great restaurant and bar that just happens to be within a hotel??? They run happy hour every day from 5pm to 7pm with drinks at $ 5 and they have a large selection to choose from. great menu that has a western and Asian flare to it. loved the 9+ wagyu Flank, hand cut triple cooked fries and the panko crumbed lamb shoulder. Their wine list is also impressive with a big selection of wines from Europe, Australia, NZ, Napa Valley and Argentina. Amazing cocktails, especially loved the Day street Boulevard a nice twist on a classic Negroni and white chocolate espresso martini. This place is a definite must if you like good food, a large selection of wines and amazing cocktails.
