Thank God for Auntie. Despite contrary squeals from conservative pollies and talk back parrots our national broadcaster can be relied upon for independent news and other stuff.
Like Double J when I was a kid. And Mr Squiggle. And the Bananas in Pyjamas when my kids were little.
Nowadays I listen to ABC Classic FM which not only has no idiotic talk back, it only grudgingly repeats the news on the hour. I dont have to listen to some numbskull showing off his ignorance and intolerance on my way to or from work.
The ABC shop has great stuff — I just picked up a CD called ‘Swoon’ which is favourites from a segment in the breakfast programme on Classic FM. I highly recommend it as peaceful music that everyone can enjoy.
