I had Il Paiolo cater for my birthday. They arrive an hour early with their wood fired pizza oven and you can sneak a peak and watch them prepare the pizza dough. I got to choose three dishes from a menu you could only describe as gourmet including dishes like stuffed capsicums, Oven roasted zucchini filled with mince meat, eggs and tomatoes topped with fresh bread crumbs, Chicken breast fillet rolled with ham and provolone cheese, served with Cognac Creamy sauce and other mouth watering selections from the wood fired oven. The three dishes I chose came out intermingled with pizzas. They provide a waitress to help distribute the pizzas and gauge how many people are still eating and what is popular. I was inspired to get the pizza oven at my party after experiencing it at another party. At the party I went to before it was just pizzas served and they started with margarita pizza and progressed to steak mushrooms with aoli pizzas. Il Paiolo’s pizzas weren’t as decadent as these but the other dishes well and truly made up for it. Everyone went on about the food and how good it was and I was happy not to have to worry about organizing food.
