Swan View Shopping Centre is not your average shopping centre. It’s probably far below the mean size of shopping centres in WA, in fact.(Very impressed I just used a maths term in my lead, by the way. I did have a sneaky check on Google to make sure I was using the correct terminology and shouldn’t be saying mode or median… ssshhh, don’t tell my year 8 maths teacher…) One of the best features of this runt sized centre is just that. Its size. I love going to the Coles here. It is oh so much easier than trekking down to Midland Gate, parking a mile away from your car and battling the bogan crowds to get a few vegies. And Coles is open until 9pm on weeknights now. I really don’t know how they sustain it because it’s usually like a ghost town after 6pm. But I’m not complaining — I love the fact I could zip down and get some after dinner ice cream if the urge befell me. The shopping centre also has a neat little cluster of other specialty shops; a café, newsagents, post office(within the newsagents), Baker’s Delight, Butchers, chemist and greengrocers. Not a bad little selection at all. They’re all great shops and I reckon Swan View Shopping Centre is one of the area’s best kept secrets. Don’t spread this review around too much…
