This restaurant is dishonest and the customer service is appalling. I was extremely disappointed and disgusted at how we were treated by their staff and in particular, the manager, when we had dinner here. There were 2 adults and 2 kids. We specifically ordered 2x$ 59 banquet menu and 1x$ 53 banquet menu to be shared between the kids. The bill that came was $ 272.30 which included 2 additional($ 60) sets! We only realised the bill was grossly overcharged after the bill was paid. When we queried the bill, the manager insisted we ordered 5 banquet menus for 2 adults and 2 kids. How the restaurant expects 2 adults and 2 kids to finish 5 full banquet menu sets is beyond imagination! To make matters worse, the manager could not provide a satisfactory explanation and felt the need to call the police. It was absolutely unacceptable that we were treated this way. It was not the bill amount that made us upset but it was the dishonesty and the lack of acknowledgment that maybe an error or miscommunication occurred. Was the food worth the stress we experienced? Definitely not. The place was understaffed and our booking was for 7.30pm but our orders were not taken until just before 8pm. Will we go back again or recommend anyone to visit this place? Definitely not.

Lunch starts at 11:35am here which is great because it’s ½ price. Or ½ of ½ price… I’m not entirely sure as I think it’s buy 1 get one free type thing. We ordered a Crocodile, Chicken and Kids Salmon meal and ended up with 2 Chickens because they were out of Crocodile(silly husband) anyway. So one of the Chickens were free, but the kids meal was charged at a full $ 16.50 so there was no ½ price lunch for him. I would have stuck around and asked but there was a line behind me paying and I was a bit confused by the whole thing. I understood ½ price lunches to mean every lunch meal purchased was 50% off, not buy 2 meals and get the lesser one free… Hrm. The portions were nice and big though, even the kids meal which was the same size as any adult one except it didn’t come with Miso Soup or Salad or the two dipping sauces(of which one was just delightful). The chef was pretty cool, he started off doing a fancy banging noise thing with the bowls and the random utensils he had around but I was a bit disappointed as it was my husband and son’s first time and there was no flipping of rice bowls or catching of eggs like I’d seen other places do. Where was the fancy teppanyaki stuff? The food was pretty good and 50% was a bit dodgy but worth it.
