Overall the experience was pretty average although we didn’t go hungry between the selection of highs and lows. The revolving restaurant was a tad disappointing. The main attraction being the view was mostly unseen as the lighting inside was too bright to view the night lights outside. Instead you saw your own reflection when trying to peer out. My recommendation is to go for a day or early evening seating if you want to take in the view. The dessert buffet was the best part of the evening. The worst part, the other patrons. Some patrons had been scooping the oysters from their shells at the buffet station so care had to be taken not to select an empty oyster shell. Searching through the empty oyster shell rubble we managed to find some tasty morsels to return to our table with. The crab was a disaster, stringy dry overcooked crab meat was hardly worthy of the effort involved to get to it. However, the prawns were amazing. The main buffet was a collection of over cooked salmon, tasty veal, chicken, tough chewy steak and tragically over cooked lamb cutlets. The sides were pretty boring — steamed or roasted vegetables. The dessert buffet had a great selection of sugary treats, chilli chocolate pano cotta, pavlova, doughnuts, ice cream, a broad selection of cheeses and fresh fruit to name a few. Ho ho ho hum… Not the highlight of my Christmas vacation. But it wasn’t all that bad value for what fare was available.

The food was good for a buffet selection! Good display of food with fresh prawns, bugs etc for seafood but the remainder was average considering the price tag at $ 69.00! The wine prices are average for this style of restaurant, Lack of good staff looking after each table like late service of hand wash for seafood as you need to peel the prawns and get the Moreton bay bugs out of the shell. The variety is good but mainly Asian fusion for the main course but tasty and deserts were a wide interesting selection. A great view wit the revolving seating but at night a lot of reflection, worth a visit for the view but probably earlier in the evening! If you want to spend the money it’s a old venue for a once off but better food elsewhere in Surfers Paradise!

With an Asian influenced theme for our dinner, the buffet was extensive with some great seafood choices. The seafood was fresh, however, the remaining mains and chef specials were quite dry. Maybe this is because they are sitting for a while keeping warm, I was a bit disappointed. The food certainly is not inedible, but for the price I was expecting the food to taste much more fresh and succulent. There are two buffet sections, one with seafood and street food to be served on entrée played, with another section with mains and desserts. There is a window to the kitchen were a variety of chef specials are served. This changes from time to time. Our chef specials included honey fried shrimp, teriyaki salmon, Hong Kong pork belly and tofu. The pork belly was slightly dry, with the crackling incredibly crunchy. The service and is nice, our waters were filled constantly and we were always asked if we would like more drinks. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We took the 8 o’clock sitting(the elevator will not go to the floor until exactly 8pm) and the views were not that impressive. The windows are quite dark so it’s quite hard to see the lights outside. I’m sure the sunset sitting would be much more aesthetically pleasing!

A tiny bit more than four… my husband assures not quite a four and a half but definetely a bit more than the point zero. The food is solid and a typical fusion mix of a miso infused pork belly next to a roast beef sirloin with roast vegies. A laksa next to cold cuts of meat and breadrolls… maybe not so much fusion in hindsight, maybe its a bit of two worlds crossed like star crossed lovers… but with some sushi. So essentially multiple asian countries crossed with the typical aussie fair. So really the world is kissing and youre eating, gross but sweet but gross but kind of nice. getting off topic here. Lets get this right, the food is nothing really awesome but when combined with queenslands only 360 revolving restaurant a la candlelight 26 stories above a la central gold coast broadbeach… the taste is Unilocaling spectacular $ 62 later a head plus $ 4.50 for a glass of coke. So recommended but not really for a regular visit. Perfect for romance and walking a full stomach off by the breathtaking beach.
