We enjoyed our night here but felt the food was a little plain. Great atmosphere, helpful staff. The sashimi was very nice. The yakatori share plate was a decent size. The highlight was a plum wine jelly drink. The desert was meant to be tiramisu but was more chocolate than coffee but still nice enough. It was still frozen and we were given plastic spoons to eat it. It was a bit of a task to eat it with out breaking the spoon. At one point a cockroach crawled over me. I’m pretty sure it came from the dump/place next door As Ku-o looked very clean from what I could see.

Really enjoyed this place! Great food, quite large serves and really friendly staff. We ordered my favourite — takoyaki balls which are fried balls of batter filled with octopus. The katsu don was delicious, I’ve ordered this at a couple of Japanese restaurants and have loved it — but the addition of the coleslaw/cabbage cuts through the fried chicken making it even better. Wasn’t too fussed by the gyu don, it wasn’t horrible — just not to my taste. They have a pretty big selection of drinks(including alcoholic) I went with the Lychee Twist which really nice, something very different to anything I’ve had before. Quite a small restaurant, so I wouldn’t say it’s the best place to take a large group. Overall, a very nice place that I will definitely revisit!

Great food and service. The owner is a fantastic host, and the food is traditional izakaya/yakatori fare that we are when we were in Japan. Thoroughly recommend the katsu set, and the sashimi set, also try their lychee cocktail.

New place to go for japanese food. Its a cute tiny place. Desserts are yummy and especially their frappes! Staff are very friendly. Reasonable price for food. They have lunch specials and they close 10:30pm. Great atmosphere as they play music on the background. A place to chill with friends, have dinner or just desserts!
