The half time restaurant is a great spot for breakfast. The fact that it’s one of the only restaurants open for breakfast in Market Square shouldn’t count against it. There is a range of traditional Chinese breakfast items, such as ‘fried stick’, as well as what I’m assuming are fusion breakfast items such as ‘egg and bacon pancake’. If you’re looking for a Chinese breakfast, make sure you give it a try.

The meal was okay, but the main selling point was that it was cheap. I was disappointed that the spicy eggplant and pork dish was made with Italian eggplant, not the asian kind. It also had peas and carrots in it, which I’ve never seen before, but it tasted pretty good and cost around $ 11 including rice. The mince pork in black bean sauce noodles was pretty good, and so was their bubble tea. They had taro milk tea with real taro in it. So good! And matcha milk tea with real matcha, for the same price, I think $ 4.50. The décor is typical Chinese restaurant, nothing fancy, but clean enough, and fast enough service but with no frills. I would eat here again based on the value for money and would definitely order the bubble tea again.

Great value for money and good flavours! There are so many options in Sunnybank so it’s hard to commit but I think we made a good call with half time. The fried bean curd was deliciously crispy and the mains were massive and very tasty. One main and an entrée or side is enough for two people. They also offer a wide variety of teas, desert, and juices. The watermelon juice is refreshing and you can tell it is from fresh fruit.
