If you are a recipe book addict, Subiaco library has a great range and many of the latest books too. Their online system also allows members to search for books, hold and extend the borrowing time which is super convenient. Inside is quite dated, like most libraries but its quiet and clean. The staff are friendly. There is a small green park next door which I believe the free wifi extends too.

For a local library, this place is pretty good. However, on a scale of libraries in general, one can expectedly say that it doesn’t quite compare. With a fairly wide variety of books, including a nice young adult section with plenty of comic books, Subiaco City Library is located on trendy Rockeby Road right next to Subiaco Primary School. With free internet access in the form of numerous computers, one can also find plenty of homeless people surfing the net. I must mention their CD collection that can also be borrowed as well as an awesome fish tank(I love fish tanks). Good library for locals, but nonetheless a tiny place relative to other libraries.
