Salvation Army

This is Salvation Army’s boutique op store which means it is better than the others one around Perth. You can find a few brands and even Australian made fashion. There is a costume section towards the back. Bags, belts and accessories are neatly hung and not thrown into a box. Shoes are displayed on shelves and there is a small book and homeware section.
Like any op store you have to hunt for that treasured item, any one that enjoys a good browse will enjoy this store.
There are limited free parking bays in front of the store which is located off Rowley Road (a 5 minute walk from Rokeby Road).

Blink and you will probably miss the sign on an alley wall of Rokeby Road telling you there is a Salvos store at the end of it. I must admit I did. I have been going to Subiaco every week for years and I didn’t know that it existed until a couple of years back. It is hiding away in a car park behind Smales on Rokeby Road, on Rowland Street.
When you go into this store you have to take the gold diggers mentality. Sometimes you will spend ages, painstakingly going through racks of clothes to find nothing and it feels like a wasted morning. Other times you can hit gold, with an awesome vintage or a barely worn designer name piece that can quickly become the centerpiece of your wardrobe.
Yes, they have all the normal stuff, housewares, toys etc. But the best thing about this store is that it feeds from the western suburbs, with those who can afford the good stuff and the prices that go with it.
