Of the three cafes I stopped in this morning — BrewHa, Yelo, and Caffe Vero — this was the only one that made food to order, not just keeping stuff in the fridge to heat as needed, especially handy as I was in the mood for a Big Breakfast. It’s not a sophisticated place, and I guess there’s not really an atmosphere, but the food is unpretentious and good, coffee was great, and the service was friendly. I’ll be back!

Went here for coffee with a friend. Have to say the place no theme or order to it. it just seemed disorientated the whole café. The outside area was the most disorientated. We ordered two coffees and one portion of toast. The toast was 2 regular slices of multigrain bread — so nothing too flash. The coffees took about 15 minutes to arrive — the café was not busy by any means. I won’t go back in a hurry.

The service is top notch and the food delicious! Highly recommend the big breakfast and Thai red curry. Everything can be veganised. Just ask for it. Their coffee and hot chocolate is the best in Subiaco. The set-up has just recently changed with the desserts/sweet treats now displayed as you walk in. A new hot food display has been added making it easier to order take-a-way items. Kira, who runs the café/restaurant is an amazing chef! Everyone is super friendly. I can’t stop gushing! Just make sure you drop in here

I went here for lunch at around 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Ìt was packed due to the footy game. Had to wait 40 minutes for lamb shanks and grilled salmon with rice and white sauce. But the food was delicious and we’ll priced. Both dishes cost around 20 bucks each.

Caffe Vero must have changed owners in the past ~5 years as the Italians who used to run it seem to have long disappeared. Now you will find a somewhat dirty café with staff that appear a little lost. It’s basic which is fine, but lacks customer service and food quality… Wouldn’t recommend…

Horrible horrible service! Cashier overcharged my order and when I went back to the counter she was so rude about it, apologising to the guy after me for waiting but not to me. She didn’t know the price of my order and kept saying it was $ 14 till I pointed to the menu and it said $ 13. What?! Also, what’s the point of giving a number when the servers do not know which table has ordered what food? The server just came holding a plate of food asking if I ordered this and if it’s not he’ll go to another table and ask. And because I heard my order I said I ordered it, but there was another table sitting further in that has waited for 30mins and had not gotten theirs. They complained and the server just said he’ll check and left without an apology. Food was not bad. The bacon was crispy and French toast was normal. And I’ve had much better chai elsewhere. Totally not worth what the customers have to go through. Nothing to rave about this place and you can be sure I’ll never be back here again, ever.

Caffe Vero serve fantastic coffee. I always go past for a takeaway one, they are ‘vero’ strong. There is a small takeaway area to wait. Eftpos min is $ 10.00. They are open weekend mornings, and during this time there is plenty of parking on Rokeby Road so it is easy to ‘get in and out’ quickly.

Loving this place, the alfresco area is very relaxing. Only dropped in for coffee this time but I’m keen to have a meal here. Great little place in the middle of Subi!

Just had a nice lunch here the wagyu burger was cooked well with a nice touch of melted cheddar on top $ 13 only thing I was a bit disappointed about was the fries were not included and were $ 5 extra which I though was a bit steep. The coffee was nice and strong and the alfresco area out the back was nice and bright and breezy. Overall I would return again.

I went to Café Vero on a Sunday morning, looking for a place to drink some coffee and read. I was pleasantly surprised with the alfresco area. I think the girl at the counter didn’t understand me because of my American accent and they served me tea and a flat white instead of pellegrino and a flat white. Upon realizing this, they graciously corrected my order and apologized profusely. I didn’t have anything to eat, so I can’t comment on the food, but I will be visiting them again in the future.

This coffee shop is on the hill along Rokeby Road. The service is always friendly and efficient. The coffee is pretty good. I once decided to try a breakfast here. It was pretty good, but for the same $ 20 I could have walked down to Witch’s Cauldron and had much better. It is known for the place to get Bunny chow. A south african dish with a half loaf of bread stuffed with a lamb casserole. I haven’t tried it myself, but listend as several people got excited when they saw it on the menu.
