I wasn’t too worried about the other reviews when heading to this place as I was more interested in the food than service, but unfortunately while I found the staff friendly, the food was definitely not of the same standard. I appreciate that the pies were home made, but after trying the steak and onion and having only two small pieces of steak in the whole pie, I couldn’t rate this place more than 2 stars. We also got a sausage roll and cherry slice, which were ok, but didn’t make up for the pie at all. Disappointed as this is quite local to us and was hoping to make it a regular go to.

This is my local bakery and as such I wanted to give it my custom. Sadly, on the 10 visits I have made to it in the last 4 months, I cannot recommend it. Either the ladies serving are outright rude or they have packed the food away more than 20 minutes before closing time and won’t serve me at all. The food I have managed to acquire was decent but not out of the ordinary. I see many of the same people there on my visits or when I walk past so the customer service must be good for some. Unfortunately, not for me or my family.

Standard tradie type of bakery as noted in other reviews which is fine but the quality of the pastry range is something to be desired. Good steak chunks. About 3 in total and a cup full of gravy in this pie so not very filling. Little bit dingy feel in terms of décor kind of like a truck stop diner. Id give them another chance.

Located in Stafford Central, Tilly’s CONTINENTAL Bakery is always pumping. This primarily is due to the influx of labourers and construction workers on the new Airport link and Northern Bus way. In the mornings, on my way to work, I often duck in to grab a grain roll to have with my packed lunch. I walk amongst the tables filled with high-vis clad gentlemen wishing I could pull up at a table. Although I don’t envy the work of the labourers, I do sometimes covet their choices of morning meals, especially bulk servings of Tilly’s Big Breakfast that consists of bacon, eggs, sausages, toast, mushrooms and roasted tomatoes($ 16.95). If it’s the weekend and I’m not under the man’s clock, I like to indulge in one of their vast range of home made pies. If I don’t time it right there isn’t many(if any) left. Still, Tilly’s is more than a bakery, it’s a café that serves pretty decent coffees and it has an extended menu that caters for those who like a pizza. On Friday nights they are open until late so you can dig into one of their pizzas and listen to live and local acoustic musicians. The staff is always happy to oblige and very friendly to their customers, even if they are rushed off their feet. Having one cash register doesn’t help things always run smoothly but its easily forgiven when you’re smashing something down from Tilly’s.
