Pod is a Inner northern suburban gem. Lots of cool art work and a variety of food –particularly gluten free treats. Cosy inside– it’s best suited to a catch up with a friend rather than a group. I mostly visit for the coffee– I’m 99%sure they use barambah organic milk. A tonne of street parking is available too.

Pod is what a great suburban café should be. Full of chipper staff, decent coffee(Cleanskin if you please), ample seating space inside and out, a menu chock-a-block of the fuss-free(pre-made wraps etc) and daily specials and just an all round great café atmosphere. It’s been my go to for a little while when I’m out and about for a reliable sambo and coffee combo for lunch or after yoga smoothie on a Saturday morning. Pod. Stafford. Get there. Enjoy. It’s really that simple.

Stopped in for the first time today while Son no2 was in his appointment. Seems like this is the place to go for locals, lots of ppl around, even a cute dog chilling while his owner had a caffeine hit. Cleanskin local coffee beans, strong flavours and my coffee was hot! Always important! I felt that i would have gotten my coffee faster if the barista wasnt chatting to all her customers, but thats probably why they keep coming back isnt it. Great atmosphere, lots of happy friendly staff. Will be back for more coffee from these guys.

I’ve been coming here since this place opened over 2 yrs ago(Could even be 3?) no less than 3 times a week. Coffee is always good and Staff are always very friendly. Sally and the girls always have a healthy arrangement of Organic Foods on offer whether it be a snack, brunch or Lunch!!!

How good is POD? So good, I go out of my way to stop in there for a kick ass espresso(Cleanskin beans) or a green smoothie and a vegan beetroot lamington — so tasty! Set just off Stafford Road, it is the best thing to hit this suburb since… Forever. The recent re-fit means more tables and chairs and a larger offering of food. They don’t have the little health food store set up that was there when they opened, but that’s ok because everything else makes up for it. I love seeing little places opening like this in the ‘burbs. Places that do things properly and who genuinely care about creating a unique place for their customers.

Cute little place tucked away in stafford. The sweet potato hash cakes are so delicious! Gorgeous cakes and slices too including a dreamy peanut butter brownie. Yum! Two thumbs up.

Just found this little place today by accident. Does it meet my requirements? Let’s see … Great coffee. Check! Interesting teas. Check! GF yummy things. Check! Friendly staff. Check! Cute young man. Check!!! I had gluten free chocolate and apricot cake with my coffee. Yummmmmmm. It was so good that I went back inside and ordered a choc hazelnut muffin and a pumpkin and choc chip muffin with a Granny’s Garden tea to take back home to a waiting teenager. Result? Best Mother Award of the Day!

Pod are a fairly new, but great little café in Stafford, run by passionate staff with know-how, with a health-food focussed shop attached next door. Pod Espresso(technically the designation for the café side of things) is tiny, but so, so busy. They offer fast, handmade, fresh«takeaway» food such as sandwiches, wraps and other quick-to-grab convenience items. They also have a lovely array of cakes and desserts — both traditional, gluten-free, and vegan & gluten-free. It tends to rotate, so nothing is guaranteed. There is some seating outside on the sidewalk, but not a lot — they’re much better at «grab and go». They’ve also started offering cold pressed coffee, which always grabs me — and they are also doing this on soy, for those interested. Sally and her staff are really friendly and great to visit. Pod Wholefoods is the little health food shop attached, run by the lovely Tess, who is fast becoming a Thermomix expert(for those of you looking to figure out how to use those machines!). They’ve got a great, hand-picked selection of quirky and artisan products — and some of the best tofu I’ve bought in a long time, along with a few frozen vegan products, lots of dried bulk beans, and just delicious little curiosities. They also have a number of organic dairy products, and other products, such as protein shakes & the like. For gluten-free folk, this shop is a godsend. Tess is great to talk to, and passionate(without being at all in your face), and I appreciate the care taken to select the products. Win, win!
