Union College

Union College has to be the closest university housing to the University of Queensland St Lucia campus. It is also a fairly relaxed college, with less O-​Week hazing and activities than some of the others around. Union is nice and close to classes, backing onto a sporting field (Wep Harris Oval) as well. It is leafy around but the buildings still have that grey student accommodation feeling to them. On the plus side, there is a pretty good gym and games room in the college. It is also co-​education so boys and girls can play together.
The rooms are pretty average in size, just fitting the single bed, small desk, chair, cupboard and drawers. Each room also has a fan and heater if I remember correctly. Union is great if you are looking for some pretty independent, convenient, no frills uni accommodation.
