Good customer service. An average Coffee, really expected a good Coffee, as they had the right gear to make an amazing coffee.

They claim«best coffee» blah blah but it was very ordinary and weak. The breakfast consisting of eggs, beans, tomato and ham was simple and tasty but nothing special. The waitress was typically young and a bit indifferent. But definitely, the coffee was the big disappointment. Get rid of the great coffee sign folks. It ain’t.

This has to be one of the most overrated coffee shops I have ever been to. I would never ever eat here again after seeing their staff around the back of their shop, I would rather lick satins ass. Just tried it’s again and the coffee has made me physically sick. Revolting

During St Kilda Festival a group of friends and I were desperately searching for a bar to chill out at that wasn’t packed to the rafters and we found that in 95 Espresso. We easily found a booth up the back and were delighted to discover that they were doing Sangria specials because of the celebrations… needless to say we drank them out of Sangria! We ended up staying for about 5 hours and the place was jam packed by the time we left. The entire time the staff were attentive, helpful and ultra-fast. Had a great evening here and recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different.

This café seems to be something it’s not. I think the staff need to see what their customers want. It’s sad to see people not enjoy somewhere because the staff aren’t interested in the customer. I sat down without being acknowledged as I walked in and it took the waitstaff 10 minutes to see that I was waiting to order with no menu. 5 people were served coffee and breakfast as they sat down after me. I wouldn’t be rushing back, that’s for sure.

Wow loved it! Can’t believe I haven’t been here before considering I live just up the road. Didn’t realise they had a decent lunch menu. I had the club sandwich and a cappuccino. Fabulous! Has a real English vibe to it. Don’t know whether it was the British waiter, the Beatles playing in the background or the slightly grim day but a lovely atmosphere. Not bad priced and would definitely come again!

I’m not really a coffee drinker — I’m getting there but I had a lovely latte from here which was nice. I’m not a coffee snob nor a connoisseur and haven’t tried anything off the menu but I liked the place and it seemed to be popular :)

Coffee is good, location is excellent, but the service is unreasonably slow. I’ve waited at an outside table for 15 – 20 minutes before being greeted before. Coffee comes quickly but you’ll have to go inside and wait in line to order anything else or get water for your table… We ordered the South American brekkie sandwich and the Benedict which were both totally average. Can’t say we’d get it again.

Im giving 95 a steady 4⁄5. Not the best coffee out but above the run of the mill. Atmosphere is good if you can get a seat on Acland St, but a bit pretentious for no apparent reason inside– not particularly welcoming, a feature made noticeable as the coffee isn’t quite enough to forgive this. You can do better within 5 minutes.

I can’t believe it. I used to looove this place. I mean, I used to come here three times a week. The coffee was sooo goof back then too. I haven’t payed it a visit lately as I’ve been to busy hitting up random new cafés from here to Kew to Brunswick. But today I thought I’d come here with my mate for old time sake. The weather was nice and I was craving a nice walk to St. Kilda. We stopped in and we ordered our coffees. It wasn’t all that busy so the coffee came rather quickly and the staff were as friendly as ever. Took the first sips, having high hopes but it wasn’t quite what I remembered. I came in noticing the«Best Coffee in St. Kilda» sign and probably got a bit ahead of myself. Don’t get me wrong, the coffee isn’t bad and the place is quite nice, but not nearly as nice as I remember. Shame really. It’s quite a middle ground café for me now. That’s about it.

Service is very dodgy. We had no menus or water for 15 minutes but two couples arriving after us got water and menus before they’d barely sat down. Eventually they took our orders. It certainly wasn’t worth the wait. The coffee was nothing special and the food was clearly reheated frozen items. It was barely edible. My daughter ended up pushing it aside and we left without finishing our meal. What a surprise — they were quick to get the bill paid, but that was about the only task they did quickly, even then they kept us waiting. Pass.

When I was frequenting Acland Street quite a bit, this was the place I would go to for coffee. They not only have amazing Chai Lattes, their coffee is quite delicious. The staff has always been super friendly to me, although I’ve never actually stayed there to have a coffee or to eat in their inside area. I have once gotten cakes from there. They were overpriced in my opinion but they definitely were delicious!

It is great to watch a good barista at work. Excellent coffee, even by very high Melbourne standards.

I had high hopes for this café, but unfortunately my dreams were left shattered. From the outside this café looks hip and trendy perched upon the iconic Acland Street. The menu reads well, it’s not overpriced and the attractive presentation of dishes that I could see on other tables made me very excited to order. Sadly my water glass was dirty. My coffee was cold as too was the centre of my re-heated cornbread that I was frothing at the mouth for. My poached eggs were overcooked, and my order that came with bacon was represented by one very measly strip of fat that was missing the fleshy part. And to add insult to injury; they don’t split bills! The service was friendly, but that doesn’t really mean a thing if the quality of food and drink is not up to scratch, especially when you’re a café.

95 Espresso Bar in St Kilda uses the selling point of the fact they have the best coffee in St Kilda. Big Call. I’m not sure about that with some very high quality cafes in St Kilda, however the coffee is nice where I like they have a «Melbourne coffee» mentality with the open take away window for those who want a coffee to go. I love this about Melbourne cafes. They offer little cakes and slices where it’s nice for a little snack. They have a nice setting with hanging lights, cool paintings on the walls as well as a reasonable menu. I feel like a place like this would become a very happy local coffee shop for those that work in and around the area. With good quality coffees being churned out, it probably is the quickest and easiest way to get a coffee to go.

Perhaps the name gives away what they serve here. Good coffee is not hard to find here in Melbourne, so to be named as a coffee bar takes a bit of confidence. Luckily, 95 Espresso lives up to expectations. A good, and I mean really good cup of coffee is brewed just right, with quality roasted beans, and a barista who knows what they are doing. Honesty, I could sit out on Acland street here and sip away all morning to my hearts content. Of course they offer it to go, and Im yet to try any of the edible menu, but it doesnt matter, because theyve already won me over!
