Decent sushi on the go. Sushi bento was very satisfying. Not much for ambiance but quick and convenient.

8÷1÷2013 This place seems to be a lunch time favourite amongst the white collar workers in the area, so decided to give it a try. Located on 83 Leichardt Street Spring Hill, I was beginning to regret my choice when trying to cross the road. Even though its early days in the new year there’s still enough vehicle traffic on Leichardt Street to dodge. Perhaps that’s the advantage to this place. Nothing like contemplating your mortality, surviving, and feeling like life is sweet! According to the signage at the front, its also BYO. Where’s the wine when you need it? The small crowd of hungry office workers had already descended, and some brave souls decided to sit outside even with the midday heat. Those sane enough were inside cooling off, appearing to be enjoying their lunch. Like most casual Japanese dine-in/takeaway places, there were several sushi options available, and rice dishes. The two girls serving at the counter were friendly, and I decided to go with the Chicken Teriyaki dish for $ 8.50. Q sushi has EFTPOS facilities, which for me is a big plus! Nothing worse than being hungry, coming to a place that looks decent, only to be hit with the blunt force trauma of «cash only». I waited patiently inside as more people filed in, and Sushi appeared to be the popular choice for most. It makes sense, if you don’t have much time for lunch. My order didn’t take long, but it wasn’t quick either, which I actually prefer. This tells me that they actually had to cook my meal, rather than just microwave it out the back. The chicken teriyaki with rice was quite large, in a plastic bowl container. I decided to eat-in instead, as it looked too appealing. It was very good! I must have eaten it in record time, as I just couldn’t stop to take a breath. Loved the sweet barbeque-like taste of teriyaki blending with the rice, and perfectly cooked chicken. I can see why a few people do come here. They have nice food, the portion sizes are filling(you may even have leftovers for an afternoon snack later), and at price points that is absolutely worth it. A great lunch time stop.
