This place seems to sit in well with what I have come to expect from Southport, and that is not much. Even though the place is named after the famous Hollywood director Cecil B DeMills, there is nothing about this place that suggests that it sticks to that theme. In fact there is no theme in this place other than the fact that it is a pub, and a pretty stock standard pub at that. Sure, it has a restaurant and a sports bar as well as a pokies room hidden away behind a wall of frosted glass, but that is pretty much about it. Also I have to say that the staff really didn’t seem to be all that enthusiastic in their job, which sort of put me off the place even more. Okay they weren’t rude, but they didn’t come across all that friendly either.
