Degani Bakery Cafe

Great pastries, cool place to hangout and pass some time. We’ve been twice, in the evening for a quick bite and again during the day for coffee and a snack.

My first breakfast in Melbourne and what a lovely experience. I arrived here at around 8.45 am on a Saturday morning and immediately got a table for two. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Opera music intermingled with 90s music plays in the background.
It is a bright airy restaurant located close to woolies and aldis but is not noisy at all.
The ceiling has an industrial feel to it with an exposed pipe.
Lots and lots of brekkie options that I wanted to try like eggs Benedict, hot cakes, pulled pork Benedict, etc. I opted for the healthier option, the green breakfast which is two poached eggs, two slices of sourdough toast, a kale avocado steamed broccoli and sprout salad. This all comes for 19.90. What a great way to start the day. I also got a large skim mocha for 4.60.
My friend got massive hot cakes with pieces of mango and sliced strawberry and some cream and a drizzle of maple syrup. He enjoyed his meal too.
I really enjoyed my breakfast and the delicious coffee. Service is awesome with friendly smiling staff and quick service.
Need to go back and try the bubble gum flavoured macarons.

This was my first time here, it’s perfect when you need something in a hurry. They have options for special diary requirement such as vegetarian or like me on the Whole30. You can choose the combo you want like roast chicken/​beef with veg. The staff were friendly and quick to accommodate.

Great spot in Sth Melbourne. Healthy food. Great value for money. Attentive staff. Will be back.

Absolutely fantastic little café/​restaurant to stop by at.
A great selection of wines, beers and spirits but my 5 stars are mostly attributed to the excellent Chicken Parmigiana; possibly the best I’ve had in Melbourne.
Served with an excellent salad, this really hit the spot.
Great little place that’s slightly off the beaten path. So to say, this is still technically Melbourne city and what a fine little addition it does make!
