Being a faithful Aesop user for years, I was appalled by the bad service I received today. Complaint of Bad Service at Aesop Myer Bourke St Melbourne.
My friend and I made bookings for two facial sessions (weeks in advance) only to turn up on the day and be told that they have booked us in for the next day instead (which was wrong). I had all the emails proving we were right but the staff member wasn’t interested in seeing them. Instead, she went on and on telling us how full their schedule was for that day and would have to come back next day if we still wanted the facial sessions. She was neither apologetic nor helpful — all the whole holding up the booking file as if it was a magic fan that could miraculously wave away the problem.
It was overall a very frustrating and infuriating experience to say the least. This one event may be enough for us to switch brands. After all, the staff did seem too bothered if customers come or go anyway. Any wonder why more and more consumers are shopping online?

It’s Australian, smells divine, and I like that I can mix and match the products to suit the changing needs of my skin. One of the best ways to learn how to do this is to book a facial at one of the Aesop stores which offers the service. The Myer store has a tiny shoe-​boxed sized room in which these consultations take place.
I recently visited and Sophie spent about an hour pampering me with facial cleansers, scrubs, masks and all sorts of delectable moisturisers. While my mask did its thing, I enjoyed a hand and arm massage and maybe drooled a little bit, so relaxed was I. This isn’t a day spa — don’t expect candles and dolphin music, but do expect to come out feeling more relaxed then when you went in, and also a whole lot more knowledgable about their range of products.
The best bit, though? A booking will set you back $ 85, but you can then use this towards the products of your choice which essentially means the whole experience is FREE!
