Cool organic shop and café, with really friendly staff and good selection of stock. Pricey, but that’s organic food in general. Nice coffee and take-away bites, this place is always doing a brisk trade for a reason.

These guys not only have a good selection of organic groceries but also have delicious smoothies and a decent selection of vegan takeaway lunch options including really delicious sandwiches!

Broad Bean Organic Grocer has everything you want — fresh fruit, veggies, health foods, incredibly yummy smoothies, raw cakes, salads, paleo granolas, tarts, pies and delicious Allpress coffee with any milk you like(cow, soy, almond, coconut, jersey — take your pick!) The boys are so friendly, and service is always, always five stars. Surrounded by the Australian Ballet, Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Recital Centre, offices and other daily colourful Southbank dwellers, this gem really is right in the heart of things.

This place is simply wonderful… As a resident of Century Tower(an organic peas throw around the corner), it is soooo nice to know that I am able to pop in to the Broad Bean for those emergency(woops forgot that parmesan to go with the broccolini pasta situ) or the more comprehensive larder replenishment that has occurred often. Moreover, the coffee and juice that the«Bean Team» create should I prefer a quiet moment in house or whence I am in transit — is well worth my visit. Always friendly and welcoming, I will be back with my Family so they too may experience this little jewel of the Southbank precinct… long live the Bean!

Here is an organic grocer that still has that new car smell. The guys have only been open 4 days but quickly established themselves as a valuable addition to the Southbank community. Southbank has been a bit of a grocery wasteland with ample convenience stores but no real alternatives for healthy and fresh food. In steps Broad Bean with their selection of fresh food and groceries. As expected organic supplies are pricier than the average store but given the lack of alternatives and the very high prices charged around Southbank they are a very welcome and appreciated. With a beautiful looking store, friendly staff and good selection I’ll be ducking in occasionally to check out their wares.
