I had a burnt latte here. The service by the woman at the counter was hideous at the time of this order back in August of 2014. Upon my next return I’m willing to give these guys another shot.

Favourite Coffee in South Yarra. Quick easy service, straight to the point. No real menu, just coffee and a few pastries. They have awesome milk crate seats with milk crate tables topped with a vile corked of sugar for you sugar enthusiasts. Great for just having a quick chat, never busy, no posh trendy couples ever here. I always get the NZ(NewZealand) Flat white. Tastes amazing and a lot strength to the espresso with a dash of frothed milk on top.

So I love with TFS. Cosy and comfy, friendly staff. Fresh baked goods, sometimes offering freshly baked scones! Yum. Have only ever had excellent experiences here!

Specialty coffee like no other in South Yarra. A tiny nook of a place with enormously enjoyable Seven Seeds brews, knowledgeable staff, and consistently friendly service. Head there on off-peak hours(ie midday weekdays, if you have the luxury) to have the small side bench seating to yourself.

How do I even begin? This place blew my mind. After Marwin from Monk Bodhi Dharma suggested the place and considering I almost stopped by another time from hearing about it, I decided today was the day. It somewhat hidden in the tiniest of tiny places on Murphy St. Honestly, this place is tiny, my bedroom rivals it in size and my room is a shoebox. I walked in and noticed it’s choice in Seven Seeds, so far so good. I managed to get the last coffee of the day and sat down at one of the four tables to enjoy my flat white. Oh, it was amazing, sooo good. I can’t begin to describe how good it was. It falls in number 3 for best café coffee I’ve ever had. Must go. Go now. Run. Just do it. The old you would have done it.

Great tasting coffee! Space is not big, but there’s enough seating to hide in the shade — in fact, they have a few little benches outside on the sidewalk, very DIY — I like it! And best of all, all you lovers of cold drip brewed coffee, make a note to visit this place! Plus, the staff is awesome — friendly, easy going(wait, could I be in the north part of town, lol) … and they are there to give you the best coffee experience!

Quaint little coffee spot with a killer Seven Seeds brew. Seems to be ‘the place’ in South Yarra for coffee geeks.

The New Zealand style flat white at the Final Step was my first introduction to Australian coffee. When my husband was offered a job in Oz three years ago we were living in Paris(where contrary to popular belief, the coffee is dreadful, undrinkable swill), and whenever we asked any of our expat Aussie friends about the pros and cons of Oz they kept talking about one thing: It wasn’t kangaroos, and beaches, and bikinis, and Ugg boots, and beer. No, it was coffee. «The coffee is amazing!», they’d crow. «Out of this world». «WEAREKINGSOFCOFFEE»! I was dubious. I’d lived in Portland Oregon, land of Stumptown beans and tatted baristas and pour overs so I was like, «whatevs people. It can’t be that good». I was wrong. I discovered The Final Step a few weeks after we arrived here. The coffee was a revelation: Rich and complex and marvelous. Ben, the owner was awesome and welcoming and really made us feel at home in our new city. We don’t live in South Yarra anymore but I still pop in at least once a month for an NZ and one of Angie’s yummy cakes. A warm, friendly place with great bevvies and tasty sweet stuff. Yes please.

Well well. Quite the Quaint charmer aren’t you? After being sick and tired of getting nothing but horrible and rubbish coffee on the oh so tiresome and loathsome Toorak road, I managed to spot this. My Coffee Radar is pretty good most of the time. Even in the most boring and repetitive of suburbs. So here we are amongst the 11 Italian restaurants 14 Hair salons, 15 Clothing shops and another 4 Italian restaurants, and finally there is some good coffee available, and no, not from the 12 sand which places near by either. Done by Guys who know their stuff, and Good little cakes and such available too. Sigh, Its a shame its in such a horribly sterile and conservative neighbourhood, but the super food bar is rad, and the lime goat’s cheese thing is blimming brilliant too. It’s a small space, but a good one, and what most little cafes should aspire too. low key quality, great concept delivered well. Little pick me up bites(smaller than a snack) and excellent coffee. I first visited here ages ago, by like most things, only remembered it recently. Staff are pretty cool too; its no bullshit service, just a genuine happy interaction… The Final Step.(the last stage of the coffee process.)
