Was soo excited when I heard this place opened up, a couple of years ago and then devastated when I heard they closed due to a fire a few months back I believe. Been here a good few time now with work colleagues, friends and family. Done take away, dinner and lunch so have had my share of experiences here. I’ve been to the Petersham one as well a good few times too and will say that I order that one BUT this holds it own when you can’t be bothered to get to the inner city and craving their chicken and burgers with that delicious mayo and chili sauce. Service has always been great here an although accommodating to children in high chair, it can be a tight squeeze when the place is busy, which is quite often. The chicken is delicious and comes with complimentary bread and olives. The salads are tasty accompaniments to the chicken as are the chips. Ahh the hand sliced chips… YOUMUSTHAVETHEM! Warning — you’ll want to have it every. Single. Time. Just as good as Petersham. Freshly cooked tasty morsels you want, want, want. The burger is probably the one thing I prefer in Petersham but I can make do, if I have to, sigh. You won’t be disappointed!

With an established name like Frango’s it’s no surprise there are queues of salivating chicken lovers waiting to get their chompers into the juicy, thinly crisped skinned chicken pieces. It’s a small establishment with limited seating, no problems during the week but it can get pretty busy over the weekends so have your plan B ready for execution. Chicken — it’s tasty, juicy… They do this pretty well here(lucky for them!) Tabouli — it’s fresh, flavoursome and have their own twist on it… I’m not sure exactly what it is but I am really digging their tabouli Clams — oh so buttery and garlicky, served with bread to douse your bread pieces in, mmmm total goodness! It’s also BYO if you’re doing fancy takeaway evenings ;)

The chicken is very juicy but they don’t have peri peri sauce. There’s only two sauce available Mayo and Portuguese chilli sauce. You need to make a booking at dinner time the place is packed. Everyone wants to try the new frango place.
