South Australia’s pride and esteemed heritage site. Containing the historical remnants, artefacts and armament from 1880, this is a stunning site to relive the nation’s historical site. Guided tours run by the Fort Glanville Historical Association are held every Tuesday afternoon’s only but open to public on the third Sundays of each month. Kids would love the reenactment demonstrations as there are marching drills, men in suits parade exercises and canon firing. I can’t think of a better way to embrace the historical moments when the Fort was used to guard the ships sailing across the Outer Harbour and Port River. Thumbs up: * Toilet facilities * BBQ area * Picnic area * Souvenir shop * Self guided tours
