Dinner in Seddon does not have the wide variety of choices that a brunch has in the little village. One consistently good place for some nice Tapas is Sabroso, although not in the dating market myself this would be a nice date spot as is nicely lit, cozy and quiet. Sabroso excel in tapas and this is what I would stick to in the menu. They are not dessert experts beyond a nice plate of churros so don’t be silly and order the Eton Mess at a Tapas Bar like I did. Stick to the Churros! Staff are very friendly and attentive, they give good advice on what to get in terms of serving size and matching wines etc. I recommend the sangria and the Wednesday night Spanish share plate specials. For me it is missing a decent dessert menu but still is a wonderful place to go in Seddon. On a Sunday it is the place to be out the west for a cheeky drink and snack in the garden out the front :)

This place is perfect for«quiet drinks», only think missing is a place to watch some sport.

Sabroso is really the only proper bar in this hood besides the wretched Mona Castle Hotel and while it’s not my dream neighbourhood watering hole, it’s perfectly serviceable. Sabroso has a terrific happy hour which features schooners of craft beer for only five bucks. These are best enjoyed whilst perched on a comfy bean bag chair on the grassy patio out front. I find the interior to be a bit sterile but have been known to cozy up to the front bar on dreary winter’s eve with a glass of pinot in hand. The tapas is a bit over-priced and not terribly inspiring: If you do eat, you’d be wise to stick with the rosemary roasted potatoes, which are relatively affordable and exceptionally tasty.
