This place is awesome. Try the«gnocchi» and some spicy lamb with injera bread. Always busy, so consider booking. The service is friendly and very efficient, however when busy you feel they could sometimes use an extra server. Love this place!

This is my favourite local restaurant by far. African Taste serves delicious, fresh African dishes in a bright and friendly space. Their African fasting plate is out of this world: A selection of beautifully presented vegetarian, Ethiopian small dishes, featuring various combinations of lentils and vegetables. It sounds pedestrian but it will rock your socks off. This stuff is seriously moreish, savoury, and delectable. The owners are warm and personable and always give us a wave when we walk by on our way home from the train. Great neighbourhood joint which is also worth a trek for those coming from afar.

Great African food for a reasonable price. Very cosy and intimate ambience, due to it being quite a small space. We came on a weekday night and it was not too crowded, but comfortable. We started with the Cramped Cauliflower(fried cauliflower) entrée, which was quite good, but nothing amazing. Basically deep fried cauliflower with some herbs. Then came the mains. The outstanding dish was the Genfo African Fufu(gnocchi of toasted barley flour). Unique in flavour, the gnocchi had a great consistency with some holding a little crunch from the pan frying. It’s topped off with a big dollop of cream, and was very filling yet satisfying. We added chicken to it. Our other main was the Molokia(spinach and lamb with rice), which was decent but lacked a little flavour compared to the fantastic gnocchi.
