This place used to be a garden centre for the longest time… It was called Lots of Pots, or some other Roseville running rhyme like that. I’m not even sure if this place is still called Master Espresso… I never saw that sign anywhere, and since it is a serious misnomer(If this is a Master Espresso, then I’m Jason Statham) it kinda grinds my gears that they would choose that name in the first place. I did however see all manner of banners advertising a place called Match. Now, Match presents itself as a Wine & Tapas Bar; come Beer Garden; come Coffee Shop; come Smokehouse. Man that’s a mouthful. I actually think they might have chosen the name because it is some sort of middle-aged matchmaking venue. I’m being serious, there is a little intimate wine-bar inside that has romance written all over its wire framed chairs, love heart laden tables and 60s post-war propaganda advertising. The coffee here was 50 shades of bland. Coming here after Salvage was always going to be rough. The fact they do Toby Estate, and I’ve never been a fan, just compounds the issue further. The food is extremely simple, and the options are very limited(no substitutions). I had bruschetta and it was probably the most complicated thing on the menu. It was only ok, and I probably wouldn’t get it again. What they do have going for them though is an absolutely fantastic outdoor seating area. They’ve kept the existing fixtures of the garden centre and created inviting seating areas around the space. It’s a great place to pull out the laptop and work away, and because they have so much ample space, you won’t feel like you are putting them or any of their customers out. They have covered areas with cushions and long padded benches, and outdoorsy spots like round mosaic tables with wire chairs. The hardest thing was choosing where to sit! Given the coffee and food lowlights, I’d probaby go 2.5 stars for this place too, and since Tamer rounded down, I’ll round up.

Ok, I only came here because nothing else was opened on Sundays. This place is in a good location, and has an extremely interesting layout. However, the coffee is average. And the food is ordinary. They serve Toby’s Estate coffee. However, be prepared to wait. Service here is lovely but slow. The menu is not extensive yet simple. The muffins here are good but not fresh. Honestly if something else was opened I would not come here, I would give this place 2.5 stars if I could but you can’t give half stars.
