In all my time on this planet, I’ve never worked out if this store was opened for parents or their children. So I settled on an ambiguous middle, which is that the store is designed for parents who want to act like they haven’t had children.
Now, that sounds quite harsh, but it’s true. Your house cannot look good when it has been cluttered with brightly coloured objects, slides that lead nowhere, and blocks that don’t seem to fit anywhere. Parenthood, however, offers child-​friendly décor and toys crafted with elegant interior design in mind. Most items are wooden, old-​fashioned, minimalist and inoffensive.
I’m not sure how much your children will love the items they acquire, but at least your guests can appreciate a lovely home.
