Went here with a visiting friend and needless to say won’t em going back. Far to spicy and very small meals. I live thai food but this unfortunately was not great…

A local thai. You’ll often see the same faces here. I’m sure there are many Richmond dwellers that have a one-a-month Noi excursion. The Massman Beef Curry is a standout. However, be warned, this is a very, very rich dish. Heavy on the sweet, heavy on the oil. Not all bad really, but don’t expect«light, transcendental» Thai food. Same goes for the Red Curry. It’s tasty enough, but heavy on the coconut juice. Noi Thai is BYO Beer and Wine. If you forget, there are a couple of bottle shops nearby on Swan Street. Given the richness of the food I’d recommend going for beer — It naturally depends on what you order, but most red wines aren’t going to cut it against the richness or spice. This is Thai food, but definitely on the rich, heavy end of the spectrum. If you’re expecting Thai street food then probably look elsewhere. However, if this is your local it’s not a bad choice for a heavier curry on a lazy Winter’s weekday night.

My ratings of a Thai place are done by the quality of a massman beef curry. Why this dish, I don’t know. But I enjoy a massman that can hold it’s self together and this my friends delivers the goods. A thick beautiful nutty sauce, a little sweet, but screams mix more rice in me now! Or scoop me up with bread NOW! Delicious. Best Thai I’ve found so far in Richmond, friendly staff and has a BYO policy so win. Give it a try.
