Local Café that reflects its heritage and locality, they even roast and blend their own coffee beans, I’m a fan of old vintage shop front building in certain locality, even better when the proprietor convert it into a café showcasing its heritage, not tempering it too much. This is one of them. Three dining sections, footpath, middle and back courtyard, try to get the Courtyard, especially the old church bench seat. They roast and blend their own coffee beans, it shows, a lot of love has gone into it, aroma galore as the owner roast and blend them onsite. We’ve been there a few times, all our breakfast and lunch orders done in the most tastiest way. Love their easy-going and caring service, especially the young Asian waiter that lives on the other side of Melbourne and one of their Italian waitress. Will go back more. Enjoy my fellow foodies!

Unfortunately Grafalis has been really hit and miss for mine. Sometimes the coffee is pretty good and sometimes it is woeful. I had it in my rotation for a while, but then had a not so great experience so I’ve demoted it from my list of local go-to’s. You know what I think has really made me demote it though? The service. It’s not rude. Or too slow. It’s just really blah. Like nothing. No lively greeting when you walk in, chit chat or even a «how’s your day?» — and that’s even after going in there quite a lot of times… I’ve only eaten breakfast there once and it didn’t blow my socks off either — I had baked eggs and it was good. Not outstanding. The husband didn’t really love his meal that day either and it was obviously so «unremarkable» I can’t remember what he ate(which I ALWAYS do). Sigh. Such a shame it’s so hit and miss. Although, I have heard the hot chocolates are incredible. Maybe I might go back to try one of those… just one last chance. But with Fifty Acres across the road, it will be hard to stop me from crossing…

Been searching for good coffee in the area and BOOM… plus they have nutella frosted brownies… What more could you want in life than coffee and Nutella brownies!

After the Ramen, missus is craving for some dessert. What better way for dessert than vanilla ice cream with coffee? We are in Grafali’s, and we’ve ordered ourselves afogatos for each of us. Presentation wise, the afogato is served on a wooden platter and the ice cream is separated from the coffee. The afogato back home in Malaysia has the ice cream inside the coffee, which is good but the coffee flavor would be ruined if done so. Over here, you decide how you want your afogato, which is a sweet feeling. Perfect for a hot day. The setting is relaxing, with jazz music being played in the background, setting you back to the 60’s. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your afternoon coffee fix.
