Good place with great ambience. The Pizzas are of a good standard, with the Neapolitana literally to die for. The place isn’t pretentious which helps because it’s located next to the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel, so there’s a balance between«the hood» and the great feel of Darling Harbour. The staff aren’t intrusive, but they are responsive doing their best to make sure you are served at a standard expected of good and proper service. The prices are hefty but $A35 gets you a full sized Pizza, an entrée and a glass of wine appropriate for a Pizza or any other Italian meal. I’d recommend it.

I had gotten a yummy take-away pizza from The Darling on a previous trip to Sydney, and while visiting over the long weekend thought I’d give it a try for dinner with my travelling companions. Each of us took up their deal of $ 23 for garlic bread, a glass of wine and the pizza or pasta of our choice. My friends got their food after a small delay and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I received the wrong order(pepperoni on my vegetarian pizza) and I explained this to our waitress. After some initial communication breakdowns she took my meal back– returning a few minutes later with the pepperoni just picked off. My frustration was met with«What, are you allergic or something?» I’d already explained that just removing the meat wouldn’t really suffice– hence the ordering a vegetarian meal. Finally i located the manager who seemed to understand my problem and offered me a complimentary glass of wine. When the correct pizza finally arrived it was about 10:30pm, my friends were finished eating and I was in such a sour mood that I couldn’t enjoy it. For a place with such delicious food it’s a shame that the service really lets them down.

It will have you singing mozarella. Take it in, a big slice of pizza that is, and that can be any time of day — just about, these guys trade till 5am most days and to top that off home deliver Mon-Sun till 3am. You can get pizza by the slice, take away large or eat-in at the restaurant with leafy courtyard too. The choice is yours traditional known and loved BBQ meat lovers, capriciosa or vegetarian. There’s also a tantalising list of gourmet which is to die for and the layer of toppings is generous. If need be there are pastas and steak dishes to eat in with. Its all in all in a really good restaurant and worth the treat. Good food without the fuss.
