This place is located in a great spot with a great atmosphere! The food is beyond amazing you can’t go wrong with any ribs at all and their burgers are perfectly made. Feelin thirsty but want something special? Might I suggest an adult shake? Yes, I said adult shake which is to say a milkshake with alcohol mixed in. The Bourbon Cookie is my personal favorite.

Sometimes I lament that I’ve become a meat-a-saurus. Then I giggle and think that’s silly. One can never have enough meat. My bestie took me here for dinner before our show for my birthday and we rather enjoyed the spread. With Ribs & Burgers you get meat. There’s quite a bit to choose from on the meat stakes. See what I did there? Oh yeah. Either way, this place is nestled inside Star City, they have chopping blocks lined up like flags inside the store. They serve all the food on chopping blocks too if you don’t mind feeling that you’re sharing bacteria with the previous diners then boards are totally awesome. Not. What is wrong with PLATES people? You know, those round things that make eating a wee bit easy without fear of Ebola eating you. Ok, so maybe not Ebola, but salmonella. Or some other disease. I really do look forward to when restaurants go back to plates. Hm, back to the point though. Their food is rather good. At least their chicken wings were rather nice. Chips were crunchy and they have some rather interesting condiments available to slather on your chippies. You have to fight for spots to eat however in the«food court» style seating at Star City. Definitely will be back to try a steak or other meat cut soon enough.

The Star in comparison to The Crown is still a far way but at least they’re trying to get some good food in the door. You have Sokyo, Momofuku, Balla and Black on the one side and you have the foodcourt style on the other side like Ding Tai Fung and Ribs and Burgers. Had the chicken breast to be safe(red meat dishes like beef and pork could either be overcooked or undercooked) so thought you can’t go wrong with chicken breast right? Yes I was right. Usually cooked chicken breast are very dry but these ones(that look like the map of Australia) was damn juicy and flavoursome. The only thing that was annoying was it’s served on a wooden board. Not that I have anything against chopping boards, but the sauce was dripping all over the table and had to clean it up — I’m responsible like that! Oh and the chips(big fan) are crunchy too! They have this pink sauce — all the sauces are FOC(free of charge) — and was quite interesting when you have it with the chips. Try it yourself!

Mini burgers I was expecting sliders but they were quite big almost as big as a Hungry Jack’s Whopper Jr and that’s where the resemblance stops. Ordering three different types of proteins was a test and they passed. Beef, chicken and lamb, the chicken was my favourite. They all had a distinct flavour and having a three types does make it more suspenseful. The set of three could easily satisfy two people. They didn’t f*** up the chips and onion rings like Charlie & Co Burgers. I liked their style of onion rings unlike the usual battered ones. These were light and had the right texture. Also note that condiments are self-served which is quite refreshing as I usually eat my tomato sauce with some chips. Conclusion In this visit, played it safe you know, burgers are in the name and they better be good at it and they were. All the burgers were delicious and each of them had a unique taste and good value for money considering other grill restaurants in this category. The location is very good as you can end your meal with a sweet touch with the class acts in the same building like: Gelato Messina Adriano Zumbo @thesydneynoob

I saw this place yesterday while eating from the neighbouring Din Tai Fung. «Wow, this place serves ribs and burgers», I thought to myself. In my mind I pictured something really juicy and knew I had to return. So today I supressed my cravings of a bacon and egg roll in the morning(on top of the beef bee hoon which I already had for breakfast), as well as the sushi craving I had at lunch, and marched towards R&B. I do my usual thing and look for what’s least glitzy and most«signature» looking — the Original Burger, and a serving of their supposedly famous chips. I only managed to read other reviews while I was waiting for my lunch and can say that, in terms of waiting time, my docket said that my served time was 12:39pm, and I was tucking away into my meal shortly before 12:49pm, so that’s pretty quick. With regards to the burger, my first impression was«wow, man that’s small for $ 10 worth of burger». It looked, and was a little on the small side, but the patty was thick so that’s ok. It was also as juicy as I expected. Probably better with slightly more sauce rather than mainly relying on meat juices. I’m contributing the $ 10 price tag on the location — hopefully at less glamorous locations they’d charge around $ 7 – 8 for this burger? The chips were great for chips. They were freshly fried and were very crisp and golden. But I think I’d rather the ones are grill’d, partly because of the herbs on the chips, and also the mayo which you can order with them. I don’t think I saw any specialty mayo/sauces on the menu, if you see them, just drop me a note. For $ 6, with the portion size(quite decent) and for the location, I suppose that’s ok, but I think I’d rather it be 10% smaller and came with a small tub of sauce. And I’d probably pay $ 5 for them normally. I’m going to try the ribs on another day too to see if they’re any good.

Was told this place is in Neutral Bay so was happy to see it in The Star food court so I could try it close by. I’ve been twice now, once for ribs and once for burgers. It’s a pretty good full rack of pork ribs at $ 28 with chips; much cheaper than Hurricane’s but also not as good, but still quite delicious. When I got the steak burger it was just alright, a bit exxy if you want chips and a drink… total is about $ 30. I’d opt for the ribs each time for that price. Compared to Aaron’s experience, the wait wasn’t too bad each time. Stamp of approval.

Slow, slow, slow. Slow service and high prices, but a nice tasty burger. Disorganised, meals were not hot, probably cause we had to wait for the chips which took longer than to cook a burger. A mild temperature experience.
